Oh well I figured it out, my phone is haunted. The always on display is now turned on by itself.

Eric, you have a pixel 5 right? Mine is a 4a and I’m wondering why the difference in whether this app works or not per one device over another.

Yeah dude I mean I know that there are differences in the quirks and annoyances few even between pixels on the beta program, that's also what make it annoying sometimes. Some things work for some people, but not for other people.

Since you have a P5, can you screenshot what the widget looks like to select in the widget options?

Oh, I'm sorry. There's no widget. I just went into the Google weather app, and made it a shortcut on my home screen. That's all.

This is from my 4a 5G. The top widget is the At A Glance widget that's embedded, and it can't be removed. The one below is the widget that is available, listed under Google.

I'm hopeful the top widget will be corrected to allow you the flexibility to pull in weather.

The 2nd screenshot shows where it's available in the widget section.

Yeah That's exactly what's going on.

Like others I am still using both versions of At A Glance, the new one on my initial Home screen since it can't be moved and the Google App version (the old one as I call it) on my home screen to the right, since it still has weather with a quick tap. Let's go Google, roll out a fix.

Haha yeah that's what I'm saying. Google roll out of fix for this already!

Nexus devices were stock Android, Pixels are not. Granted that their skin may be lighter than Samsung's but they still adds in tons of Pixel-exclusive features and pre-installed apps here and there.
I prefer the pixel skin , but do miss the nexus line .

Samsung has the Fold market for now and most likely others will use their screen and tech

Yeah mustang dude I agree with you. The only reason I say that I would buy a pixel phone is because of the stock Android experience like on our phones but it has to be seen what Google actually does for the top experience for their pixel software. Everyone's going to be curious about that of course. But yes, Samsung for the moment has the folding screen market for sure. I mean Apple is also working on something but right now Samsung has it.

See I agree with everyone; just like you, I was a huge Nexus user as well. The only thing that Nexus phones really lacked was a great camera experience, and a few tweaks like the at a glance widget etc. Yeah pixel experiences as close to stock Android as we perceive it to be. And that's good enough for me at least. In my opinion, the Nexus phones were stock Android yes but we're a little too bare-boned with that makes sense, and that's why I prefer the pixel experience versus Samsung experience and other manufacturers in today's day and age of Android. That's mostly why I'm so happy that with Android 12, Google is now creating material you for most user customization ever!
