I have read several posts on Reddit making claims that the new Battery Health Assistance feature in Android 16 does the opposite of what it appears to claim. It is meant to help prevent aggressive charging from reducing longterm capacity, correct? Some Reddit posts claim it does the opposite...reduces battery life, falsely advertises battery health/full charge capacity vs. actual battery life, is based off of cycles and not actual battery health (if your battery hits 1000 cycles it automatically says your battery needs changing), and is just some Google tactic to get people to replace their phone faster. Battery life and longterm battery health take precedence over fast charging (heat) for me...I only usually charge 1X per day (overnight). On my P9P I have Adaptive Charging enabled but also charge to 100% at wireless/standard speed only (i.e. not fast charging). Should I have the new battery health assistance enabled or disabled...pros and/or cons?
