Sense is its own UI.... I see NO gingerbread in Sense. Its working on Gingerbread but there is NOTHING visual in Sense that says hey, im gingerbread.
Rosie is the launcher for sense and makes sense what it is....
4.0, looks so nice on its own that once they throw sense on top of it... its still gonna look the same.
Sense is a LAUNCHER.... changes the visual UI.
Hence how some hate and how some love sense.
I personally go back n forth but I cant wait for some stripped down ported ICS love for our EVO 3D's.
I agree, Sence is the UI. Of course you don't see gingerbread. Gingerbread is the OS, not the UI.
The UI on a stock Android nexus is still a blank slate. In other words, once you invest in adding widgets and other stuff, it is no longer stock Android. Adding launchers changes everything about the "look" of the UI but still doesn't normally remove a feature or prevent something from working....it is still gingerbread in all its glory, but just unpolished.
Sence just makes that blank slate polished.
Think about it, if the EVO3D didn't have the spinning effect and you removed the widgets, how would it look any different then a blank nexus? When you flick the screen to the left or right (with no widgets on the screens) just what are you seeing different on the nexus phone? What makes the last nexus "look" gingerbreadish?
I agree, some people will never like any form of Sence. Just like I'm not a fan of touchwiz. But we are now talking about the UI or launcher and not gingerbread or ICS.
So if I missed something and ICS has some type of polished UI, then once again, ICS is just the OS with little to no special look or feel to it...or a blank slate again for you to build on.
