top 5 reasons, imho...

- vzw network
- android OS (c'mon froyo!)
- big screen / no keyboard
- motorola build quality
- camera/video quality

It's the best phone because it Rules The Air with HD Glory and will smoke when Froyo hits it...making it more incredible than the incredible that its already more incredible than.

I thought the Droid Incredible was the greatest phone out there when I bought it but the Droid X just did one better on it. With it getting froyo soon and a 4.3 inch screen on top of a 1GHz processor what is there to complain about?

I've been looking to get an Android tablet for a while now, plus I need a new phone badly, but am not eligible for an upgrade. This device is the best of both worlds! It has an amazingly huge screen, Motorola's build quality & a new, much improved version of blur. This device is so great that I can even live with the encrypted bootloader!

It's the flagship phone on the best all-around wireless service in the country.. That, and this phone is gonna sell so well that the DInc/Evo/IPhone 4 shortages will look like nothing.

That right there is the perfect reason. As someone who has been DYING to switch to Droid, I need help getting past all these shortages.. Please AC, help a brother out!!

clean interface, thin, GOOD BATTERY (from what more reviews are saying vs. not) and giant screen.

plus it would let me and my sister get new phones instead of her getting my old one. :)

The reason why the Motorola X is the hottest phone this year is because it has so much stuff packed into a small portable device. It sports a 1GHz processor, a 4.3" touchscreen, which is much bigger than the iphones. It also had a 8MP camera with duel flash and 720p HD recording. It features some exclusive apps like the blockbuster app that you can rent and watch movies or tv shows on your phone. There is also a new version of Motoblur on the phone. Unlike the Iphone the Motorola X will support Flash so people can play flash games on the phone and look at flash video content. These are only a few reasons why the Motorola X is going to be one of the hottest phones this year.

P.S.
The phone is going to also be on the largest mobile company in the US, Verizon!!!

Win a free Droid X from Android Central

Right now the DROID X is comfortably among the best Android devices you can buy; in a few months time, with Android 2.2 in place, it may be the Google phone to beat.

MY Bid at the Droid X

Everyone is singing the Droid X's praises for the more than impressive specifications it boasts. However, the Droid X is the hottest phone of the year because of the buzz it's generated for the Android brand. I'm a Blackberry user that's been turned to this new, intuitive OS and not even the almighty iPhone 4 could sway me any other way than Android from now on.

I think this phone is gonna be a killer when it comes out. I so wanna get my hands on one of these. It has the large screen for watching videos. I like the design of the phone. It will be blazin fast and what better network to have a amazing phone on than the big V. Come on Android Central. Help a small town Iowa boy out by making me the cool kid on the blck with this phone.

Following on the heels of the original Droid, Motorola has upped the ante with the Droid X. Improving the processor, improved camera, a beautiful and large screen, the HDMI output, the hotspot ability, the list goes on and on (not to mention the Android operating system underlying the functionality of this technological monster). You add this amazing phone to the best network and you have another winner, helping restore Motorola to the prominence it once enjoyed. This is the hottest phone of the year and has the ability to grow with us. Amazing contest, a great way to get more of these phones into the hands of people that will love it...especially those of us that aren't up for an update for a while.

Because I'm Finally Ready

I'm 50 years old and have used my 17 year old daughter's hand-me-down phones for a few years (currently using a Samsung Alias, but the model before it was called the Alias, the SKU-BFD 1977, or whatever). They've always been good enough for me, thinking it's just a flippin' phone, for God's sake, so why all the fuss? Didn't care about the music it might hold, or the terrible photos it took, or the ridiculous excuse for a Verizon-browser on screen too small to read. Who cared, right? I had a laptop for all that! (Well, a hand-me-down laptop from my wife, who didn't like the way the it felt on her wrist when she used the track-pad, or some such vexing technical deficiency). Now my laptop has gone TU, and I scurry about my house trying to mooch computer time from my son's $1,200 gaming behemoth with the 21' HD monitor or my wife's tactile-correct Sony Viao.

You see, I don't need much anymore. I've had twenty years of using legacy systems, DOS, every iteration of Windows, the Mac's OS, and spending who knows how much on engine-sized desktops with transmission-sized monitors -all the computing-dogsh#t over the years is stuck to the bottom of my computing-shoes, and those shoes now stink.

These app-phones or smartphones or whatever you call them are, as Phil and others have said, hand-held computers! I love the spirit of this. I am ready to hold it all in my hand. Twenty years of sitting in uncomfortable chairs or having the hair singed from my legs are gone, over. I can truly whip it out whenever or where ever I want. And since Verizon won't let me upgrade until December (I'm not the main phone on the account - typical - and from what I ascertain the early upgrade is tied to the contract, not a specific number's upgrade status) I want to enter the 21st century now, with a Droid X!

The most AWESOME phone EVER!

I'm with Freerider156, I'm about ready to set my Storm on fire.....

But on top of that, the Droid X looks like it is an amazing phone, not to mention audio player, camera, GPS, and a few other things. A well-rounded multi-purpose device.

And it's just COOL!
