Android Messages - Couldn't Save Attachment

When using Android Messages and I get a picture or whatever sent to me from someone else and I try to save it, I get an error that says "Couldn't Save 1 Attachment".

I never got this on my other phones before.

Has anyone experienced this issue or know how to resolve it?

Does that happen with any file/photo, or only certain ones?

Try going to Settings>Apps, select Messages, and Clear Cache. If that doesn't help, and if you don't have any important saved messages, try Clear Data as well.

This happens with any type of file that I receive via text. I tried clearing cache and that didn't do anything either.

I was having the same problem. I opened the permissions on the app, turned off storage and turned it back on. Works fine now.
