Android Messages Privacy

Google I/O is coming up and I'm really banking on the fact they put together something with Allo and Android Messages or make RCS work with wifi. I was curious to know though with this news, if they somehow bring RCS or wifi messaging to Android Messages do you still think Android Messages is the safest way to message in terms of security or in keep your convo's safe from hackers etc? I currently use Android Messages because 40- 50 percent of the US uses it avidly rather then other messengers and Allo is kind of dead unless i"m using it with family members.
