Textra works for me. Been using it without an issue except you can't delete text threads. That's it.

I'm sure it will eventually get fixed. The beta just came out and that's why betas exist.. bug fixes :).

Curious what you all are using for a texting app since Textra is not working properly. I went back to the OEM for now but if Textra won't get fixed anytime soon(probably won't)I'd like to find one that works properly. Is Message+ working? Anyone?

Yeah same with textra, can't delete threads. I had to many piling up, LOL. Dev got back to me and said fixed by official "P" release or maybe sooner and they were aware.
Trying "pulse" as recommended above and finding it alot like Textra as far as customizations and overall smoothness. Might just stick with it. :)

Anyone know if the option to change the icon shape was removed? I'm not seeing it in the home settings...

2 more apps misbehaving are LBC (which won't even open) and LBC Podcasts (which played for about 20 minutes and then closed itself).

There are SO many apps with 'LBC' in the name that it's pointless to try to figure out exactly which apps you are having trouble with. It would go a long way if people would start using something like Share Apps https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.theronrogers.shareapps to provide an exact link so that others don't have to wander around the Google Play Store trying to help someone out.

Is Message+ working?
It is. Probably not as full-featured as Pulse or Textra but the two features that keep me using it are:
- Glympse is integrated, so I can share location with others within the app
- ability to schedule message delivery date/time (I'm a night owl so I don't have to worry about waking people up sending them messages at 1 am)

Sorry. They are radio apps. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thisisglobal.player.lbc

And https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.lbc.podcasts

I still have them

Are you using the stock launcher?

Android P beta on Pixel XL:

Netflix (beta) wasn't working, but I just installed an update from Google Play and it works now. Textra works for me, but there is one bug. I cannot delete individual text messages from the message list, but can delete new messages from the notification shade. I have notified Textra and they are aware of the issue. Running ADP Mobile (beta) and it works fine.

Just opted into the beta on my work phone, Outlook is working fine. So far it's ridiculously snappy. Even more so than it was already I think, and I've only had the pixel for like two days.

The second one has a 1.8 rating in the Google Play Store, and hasn't been updated since 2016. Reviews from people not on Android P Beta suggest that it's a POS.
The first one is marginally better; perhaps you can report that one to the development team and see if you even get a response.
Edit: if you read many of the recent reviews you'll find a high level of dissatisfaction with the app. Pocket Casts https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=au.com.shiftyjelly.pocketcasts and Podcast Addict https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bambuna.podcastaddict are two good options for podcasts.

Barclays responded to my query re: error 00002 when using their app.

"Hi there. The Mobile Banking App is not supported on any Beta platforms I'm afraid. Our app will be supported once Android P is fully released. Paul"

So guess I will be using it on my iPhone again. Yet it works on beta 11.4. Hmmm

I use pocket casts. The LBC podcasts app is the only app to access their subscription only content. Not the best app but I do pay for the content. I have tweeted them about it. Maybe I will get a response, though not holding my breath.

Pixel XL user.

Strange issue. Sometimes when I use a music streaming app like Spotify or Google Music, the album art associated with the last song played when the app is closed gets "stuck" on the lock screen. The app closes with no problem, but when I lock the screen and press the power button, the album art has replaced my usual lock screen wallpaper. When I restart the device, the original wallpaper is restored. Anyone else have this issue? TIA

That's wild. The entire cell is just missing on your screen capture. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Home app?

Yeah, that is very strange! The option is still there for me. It's not there on my Pixel XL OG though, just my Pixel 2 XL.

FWIW, the Home Settings page on my Pixel 2 XL does not include a "Change Icon Shape" option, either. After doing some research when I set up my device, however, I learned that it was necessary to enable Developer Options before the Change Icon Shape function would appear. I hope that helps.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh. That makes sense. I always (stupidly) assume that people interested in beta builds already have developer options enabled.

Tap on your build number under About phone until you get a congratulations for becoming a developer.
