When trying to delete a message from Textra app closes, can't delete messages.
That seems to work fine in the Message+ (aka Verizon Messages) app; you should drop the Textra developer a note about that behavior.

"Nevertheless, the Android team acquiesced to user demand for its return, with there being other reasons for why users would like to keep the button. Namely, users at times want to manage what apps they want quick access to in multitasking."
Is there an echo here? Damn right...

Hey .. Good on Google for listening to people. I am in the camp of never using that button on many of my past phones but apparently I am in the minority :P.

What type of Chromecast issues? I haven't seen any other mention of Chromecast yet but this would be a deal breaker for me to update to the Beta.

Well, my main TV app Horizon for a German cable providers crashes when sending the picture to the TV over Chromecast

It may be more so the app not wanting to play nice with Android P but that would definitely still result it being from P.

I will test DirecTV NOW once I get home and see if it can Chromecast without any issues.

Bluetooth is better in that you can have two devices connected at once. Like my FM transmitter in the car and my BT headset, which I couldn't do in Oreo

I think I've got issues with Bluetooth volume control. It does get loud enough when using my Jaybird runs, I have the volume control cranked all the way up and it is just so quiet.

Anyone else have this issue?
Yeah I had this with my Bose QC35s when listening to apodcast today. It was very quiet.

Another issue I have had with WhatsApp is that it crashes when sending a video message. Sent a couple today as it was my daughter's 18th birthday and ahe was thanking family for gifts. The phone crashed WhatsApp every time we made a video, although we were able to send them.

I have one issue so far, Waze doesn't close.. Well, the notification does go away. No matter what I do it just stays there.

Mine does this as well. Usually after it loses connection. Typically I turn off the device, phone Bluetooth and try reconnecting. That fixes it most of the time.

Some of the other times it happens I'll just toggle the phone Bluetooth on and off and it fixes it.

Either way, Bluetooth on the beta is not so wonderful so far.

I haven't seen that behavior, although the test videos I sent were admittedly short. Made one that was 9 seconds within WhatsApp and that sent fine; sent another that I made last night using the Camera app that was 18 seconds - both sent, received and played just fine.
It's worth noting that I'm running the WhatsApp Beta (2.18.146).

I don't remember the last time I used clear all button. If I have done it that's probably by accident. But definitely doesn't bother me if it's there or not.

Ok, I need some help. When Turing the volume up and down with the switches on the side...when the volume slider pops up, it always shows the media volume.

Is there anyway to change thay? I hate that I have to go into the settings to change every volume other then the media volume. If I can pick one volume to have when the slider pops up is the ringer. ......anyway to change that?

Hope that makes sense!

Thanks

Google, in all their wisdom, decided that the default volume that should be changed is now Media rather than Ringer. It's only one more keypress to access all the volume levels if you just use the gear icon below the Media volume slider, but it would be nice if it was configurable. Unfortunately it doesn't appear to be (unless perhaps you're rooted).

I figured there wasn't anything that can be done.....hopefully Google changes something! Thanks for the help

Kind of agree user should have the choice of what behavior they want by adjusting the volume keys. For me adjusting the media volume makes sense because I hardly get calls and mostly deal with media. But can see others preferring call volume.

I'm the same, but question ... On incoming calls, does single click down volume rocker still mute the ringer or do I have to unlock the phone?

Done, and they said they are aware of it. Said will be fixed by general release time. I've gone back to Android messages for now.
