Interested in seeing how the idle battery life will be. Fully charged the battery right before bed.

Plugged my phone in to charge it after installing Pie and it now makes a chime sound. Not liking that.

toggle charging sound

Hi,

Is anyone facing issue with Adaptive Brightness? I slide the brightness level to 15%. But when I unlock the phone after sometime, the brightness level jumps to 60%.

Any help?

Depends on your lighting situation also. For me (Pixel 2), when I lower the brightness in the dark lower than what the brightness lowered to, it remembers that. Likewise, in lighter environments, if I increase the brightness, it'll remember that also.

Will do. Just wish it would have remembered my settings and applied then after update. What else will I need to tweak and reset?

There's no more location battery saving mode in Pie?

Also in Oreo there was a hidden setting to show clock seconds and enable a do not disturb toggle when hitting the volume rocker. Is this hidden setting somewhere in Pie?

Agree that it depends on the surrounding lighting situation, but when the lighting conditions are poor, it goes to 60%. I have disabled Adaptive Brightness as of now.

Surpringly the gestures. They make the phone snappier and feel more modern. Battery life is better and the phone performs better overall. No glitches so far.

Sounds great. Still no update for me yet.

It was good on beta... Don't see any reason for that to change.

Well... it didn't go as expected. I usually only drop about 6%-7% ... Last night I dropped 12%. That's even after a FDR.

I'll bring it up to 100% before I leave for work and see how it does. May take a few of days for the system to adjust.

Restarting doesn't work.....you would have to FDR and that's a hassle
