Android Pie

Hi,

Is anyone facing issue with Adaptive Brightness? I slide the brightness level to 15%. But when I unlock the phone after sometime, the brightness level jumps to 60%.

Any help?

Depends on your lighting situation also. For me (Pixel 2), when I lower the brightness in the dark lower than what the brightness lowered to, it remembers that. Likewise, in lighter environments, if I increase the brightness, it'll remember that also.

There's no more location battery saving mode in Pie?

Also in Oreo there was a hidden setting to show clock seconds and enable a do not disturb toggle when hitting the volume rocker. Is this hidden setting somewhere in Pie?

Agree that it depends on the surrounding lighting situation, but when the lighting conditions are poor, it goes to 60%. I have disabled Adaptive Brightness as of now.

It was good on beta... Don't see any reason for that to change.

Well... it didn't go as expected. I usually only drop about 6%-7% ... Last night I dropped 12%. That's even after a FDR.

I'll bring it up to 100% before I leave for work and see how it does. May take a few of days for the system to adjust.

Wasn't on the beta but no update available yet. I'll try later, I'm sure Google is pushing it out in stages.

Anyone on T-Mobile still waiting for the OTA update? I kept tapping on the "Check for updates" button... no joy on my end. :(

No update yet on Rogers in Canada.

I'm on DP5 anyways though so I doubt there's much change - I can wait 😁
