Android Pie

UK Unlocked...

OTA Just landed Today.... 1173MB..

Downloading Now..

And as with all Major OS updates I do on any phone, Have backed up and doing a full wipe with clean install...

Woo-Hoo! It's installed ...now probably going to leave Microsoft Launcher, and go with the Pixel Launcher (and put up with that ugggly Google search bar) to try out all of the new stuff!
I don't use the pixel launcher I use Nova launcher there are no adds and you can ditch the Google search bar and the Google weather widget if you want it's awesome and very customizable. All the new things in 9.0 still work with Nova launcher.

Is there any way to "close all" recent apps so I don't have to go and swipe them all away individually?

If you have enabled the new gestures then you just swipe up and then swipe all of the way over to the left. (you can do this with a hard swipe) and there on the very left should be the "Clear all" button.
I just installed this this morning and I am getting worse battery life than Oreo - with the default adaptive battery enabled. Also the brightness is messed up on my Pixel XL. Before I would not use adaptive brightness and leave my phone around 25-30% and it was plenty bright anyplace but direct sunlight.
I tried adaptive brightness - didn't like it - so I turned it off and now with it off my screen is dim up to about 65-70%. Then it gets super bright from 71 - 100%.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks. Also notice the back arrow next to the home button stays lit using Nova Launcher with gesture features enabled. I'm guessing it's because it considers Nova Launcher as an app running

Regarding the brightness it has been this way for me since first beta. I prefer to just leave it set and not have it self adjust so don't use adaptive. However it needs to be set at around 80% to 85% to be acceptable and stays quite dim until I crank it up to that level. Battery life is excellent tho even at that so I'm fine with it and don't worry about it.

Got my update on Rogers in Canada. Pixel 2XL

Going from DP5 to Pie I don't notice any difference, yay? 😂

There's no more location battery saving mode in Pie?

Also in Oreo there was a hidden setting to show clock seconds and enable a do not disturb toggle when hitting the volume rocker. Is this hidden setting somewhere in Pie?
This is what to do
