Android Q or 10 official release. You get it yet?

You can't pull down notifications to see battery percentage any longer. Now when you pull the notification bar down it only gives you the estimated "how long battery will last until" which is not a useful number I venture to say, for everyone. Now you have to add the battery percentage to read out in the notification bar from the battery settings. I don't like that. I have to use up a slot on my notification bar that I shouldn't have to give up.

I also noticed and feel the same way.

Anyone else with issues with pop up notifications? mine dont seem to work after the update

OK weird. Now it's back to showing time battery will last. No likey

Restart your phone a couple times after the initial restart and it should fix any install issues. That's worked for me multiple times with my pixel. 10 is running great on my phone, after the initial restart I had a glitch with recents, but no issues whatsoever after the 3rd restart.

I have to say, I didn't expect much difference from 9, but this is one stylish update. I love how polished and stylized everything looks, I really like the new cell and wifi signal strength/battery icon changes.... very sharp :-D And the dark mode is unbelievable, that alone is worth the update :-P That dark boot up screen is gorgeous.... my wife has almost zero interest in phones, but even she said wow that looks amazing.

I can't believe it took Google so long to offer a dark mode =-O

I got it early yesterday afternoon with a normal OTA release. It took a long time for the download to actually start, which I put down to a very busy server but I'm no engineer, and the "optimizing apps" went much faster than I'm used to. I like the dark mode but like others I wonder why they didn't do it in 1992. My battery remaining display is the same as it's been for quite some time and my battery is still good for two days. My only complaint is one that I knew was coming. I can't use gestures and Nova Launcher.

I do not want a Google Search bar on my home screen and the last time I used the Pixel Launcher there was no way to remove it. Can anyone suggest a launcher that removes the search bar and is compatible with Android 10?

Wasn't the share menu supposed to be cleaned up with 10? Mine looks the same and the apps are still in no particular order.

I'm sure you were just being sarcastic, but in 1992 we were ALL using "Dark Mode" - it was called either DOS or UNIX on terminals with black backgrounds and white, amber or green text.

I guess I'm just not "cool" anymore - I don't get the point of Dark Mode. All the UX info I've read says that dark text on light backgrounds (positive polarity) is more readable and leads to better comprehension. Studies have shown people are less productive with negative polarity.

However, if cool people using Dark Mode means I'm less likely to see their screens in dark location like movie theaters, then more power to them!

Got it yesterday afternoon about 5:00. So far so good, I like the Dark Theme, haven't tried the gesture navigation yet.

Loaded fine on pixel 2xl, no issues except that toast messages persist a very, very long time

Still waiting here. Wonder if this one will take 2 weeks like the July update did for me.
