Android Q public beta has launched

Tried to configure all default settings in camera but still glitches. Also tried clearing cache but no luck. I will check in the safe mode as you suggested. What if, it works fine in safe mode?

If it works in Safe mode then one or more 3rd party applications are causing the problem. Then it's a matter of uninstalling them one at a time (and preferably rebooting after each) until you identify the culprit(s).

So should I rejoin the beta program and get the latest Q on my Pixel 2 or would you advise that I don't?

Testing it now, gestures on 3rd party launchers still looks broken, double animation when going home etc.

Me too.

Android messages keeps immediately crashing. Can't send texts. Help!

Edit
Hangouts works though

not having issues here. also the glitch during camera rotation is fixed now and very smooth.

Did you sign up for the messages beta? I see that's force closing on people.

So far beta 5 has been a better in some respects but still has bugs.

Bluetooth has been buggy for me. My headphones will randomly disconnect and reconnect. This is enough to keep me from using this build as my Daily driver.

AOD doesn't show battery percentage consistently. It will display when you reboot but goes away and doesn't show up again even when charging.

Other than that...not bad.

I'm getting nervous about Q, one more beta then it's showtime. I'm waiting for the official OTA update, but I don't want to put a buggy Q on my phone when P is working perfectly. If it's not dialed in by official release time, I may turn auto updates off in developer options and wait and see how it shapes up.

Just installed the beta for the first time on my P2, so far love it. Only small issue at this point is when swiping up to expose all running apps, sometimes it goes directly to one of the apps rather than show the cards. Not a big deal at all

Seems to run quite a bit faster as well, nice bonus.

Sure wish it had more going on, in fact, it looks and feels almost identical to Pie
