Android_Secret_Code String Revealed!

I thought I had disabled the fullbat popup but this morning it was there. I've tried going back into that dialer setting but it won't let me into that menu even though I tried to re-enter the initial code and making sure that the hidden menu is enabled. Any ideas?

Weird... there must be an explanation for this.
My popup and backlight stay off everytime I fully charge.
I consciously check every time I charge my phone.

Anyone figure out sidetone yet? I too experience feeback/echo in the earpiece.

I haven't figured it out yet..
Work and social life took over.
From my initial findings, it appears it's set to a locked value and cannot be changed..
Hopefully it's addressed with a MR from Samsung.

Ok, so I checked and you DO need testmode enabled to enter these menus.
I already had test mode enabled which is why I was able to get into them.
To enable test mode, do this:

Go into the Dialer and enter *#83786633 then press the Home key
Go back into the phone dialer and enter *#22745927
Now a box will come up asking for the SPC code. Enter 000000
Press the Hiddenmenu Enable radio button.

Now you can use these codes.

Can you confirm that these are the EXACT key sequences to enter in the dialer?
Because as others report the phone just sits there after entering *#22745927.

Are you sure there is not some other keypress needed to trigger the box? Like a send button or something?

That's exactly the way you should be doing it. Try watching and following along in my video. Maybe you're not clearing the digits out or something.

egg_head, what value does your phone show for sidetone when you enter that menu?

Mine is at 0. I don't remember if it was always that, or if I managed to change it.:confused:

Yup, followed along with your video.

You= Fascinate
Me=Captivate

My phone just sits there after after the second string. Nadda. Zip. Zilch.

set at 0 by default. Haven't figured out what acceptable value are to chage it, but I do know changing it to 4 seems to mute the mic and speaker until you reset it.

Also, the adjustment seems to reset to 0 if you reboot the phone.

I was wondering what are acceptable values to enter there since I have some sidetone and it's already set to '0'.

Perhaps it's an 'attenuation' value? That is, '0' means the sidetone is not attenuated at all and positive numbers attenuate it?

0.
I was able to change it last night to 1, 4, and 9. I wasn't able to make any calls though to test though. It was too late.
This was the first time I was able to change it without my audio muting and requiring a reset.

I was able to enter 1, 4, and 9 as well, but every time i went to make a call the value defaulted to 4 and muted everything

For those who think they don't have a problem with sidetone, try this. I was in my car on my way to work. I stopped and got a burger from BK. They have the paper wrappers. My wife calls me. (I know. Don't eat and talk and drive. Don't judge me.)

I put the burger to my mouth to take a bite and she says, "What is all that noise?" and it wasn't like I was crumpling it up or anything. It was so loud to her that she had to get off the phone.

Also tends to be super loud if there's any kind of breeze, like the A/C vent in your car pointed at your face while driving.

I hope they get this fixed. We love these phones.
