Angler possibly leaked?

Which article was that? I don't think I've ever heard Google discussing a future Nexus device until they've launched it. Particularly along the lines of the device being pretty or ugly or anything.

I think the leaks are what the phone will look like. I wish it looked better, but it is what it is.

I'm not sure which article it is, or how much validity it had, but I know it definitely didn't come direct from Google. we would've definitely had heard that news.

from the pics we saw today, the rear certainly isn't the most aesthetically pleasing device I've ever seen, but I think people are overreacting. first of all, it's probable the final version will look different. and rarely do leaked pics do it justice, there could be subtle differences that make a huge impact in the final product.

also, the front looks extremely clean, free of any branding with those nice speakers. it's impossible from that pic to determine the size bezels.

finally, and most importantly, we're talking about a nexus, the ultimate function over form device in all of android. bloat free, unlocked, no carrier branding, stock Android M with quick updates. that's why you buy a Nexus, at least those are Google's intentions.

Remember just last week everybody said it looked like an iPhone? I'm not suggesting we don't speculate, that's half the fun. all I'm saying is that me personally, I wouldn't let a small area on a phone, albeit a pretty ugly area based on the picture, determine whether or not I bought one.

I'd pass on the Nexus cause it either lacks the features/specs I hoped for, had an inferior battery, used an 810 processor, was priced to high, or chose a different phone. Another factor could be availability. Google takes more than a month from launch and I'll simply grab the moto.

Glad we stock android fans have choices this year ... but yeah, if I wanted an aesthetically pleasing phone, or a great camera, I wouldn't get a Nexus.

I hit some pages up and videos on YouTube. Phone looks dope for sure. I seriously f'n need some new LG Nexus news lol.

lol, I hear ya my man. fortunately it's not to much longer a wait. the features/specs I'm most looking forward to are the battery size and processor.

OnLeaks on Twitter is a great follow if you're interested. Also, Girl Interrupted has been a rock star on these forums. She's posted everything about Nexus here for the past few months. Obviously some sources seem more reliable than others, but she does an amazing job delivering content 24/7 (literally ... I have sleeping problems and it's not uncommon to see a part at 10pm or 4am!!!

what features are you looking for, besides stock Android M or course?!

I've noticed how amazing she is with news. I'm in the Same boat as you bro. The 2 biggest things I'm in need of are battery and processor.

nice! I honestly don't care which processor they choose, so long as it's not the 810 .... which I doubt they'll do anyway.

and I hope for a 3200 on the LG and 3600 on the Hauwei ... I'd obviously like to see larger, but if they're well optimized and with Doze, considering the dog**** battery sizes we've seen in 2015, I'll be content with that.

I just wished they stopped selling is "battery efficiency" which is nauseating ... nothing replaces mAh, and if it truly is that efficient, take advantages of it, maximize its potential and let us have the peace of mind we're all looking for by going a full day without our battery life even crossing our mind!

That would be awesome. I'm tired of everyone just focusing on size and not caring about battery.

Everyone zoom in on this screenshot I took from the intro video. You see a slight curvature, where the supposed "hump" is, but nothing protrudes. It's a seamless phone. I think yesterday's leak was meant to generate hype, good or bad. That phone in the leak is NOT the final product.

Confirmed: The top back of the Fugly Nexus contains a Remington Men's Shaver.

That means men will have to make a decision. Do we want a 5 o'clock shadow and the ability to take pictures or do we want to be clean-shaven with no pictures for when we go out after work?

If the Moto Style/Pure had a fingerprint sensor I would be sold.

That's my biggest reservation from it but for the price and what it looks like you'll get in return, the value is far too great unless the LG Nexus isn't priced like a premium device. I can't see how it won't be though.

awesome

I think it's a fairly safe assumption that the hauwei will be much cheaper than the nexus 6 was, correct?

I'd say no more than $500 for the 64 GB option, before tax, although it would be cool if it was that much with tax, lol. It depends on how they price the LG. If the LG is priced at $349 and $399, (which is fair, depending on the storage), I'd think the Huawei would be at least $100 more.

That'll be a nice revert back then. The 6 was to much in my opinion. I paid it because I wanted the phone but like everyone else want to happy about it.

As I said in the edited post, if the LG is priced at $349 and $399, the Huawei would probably be $100 more. That's my guess. Although I could see the LG go for $449 and $499.
