any battery life issues after JB OTA?

They need to know that it's not a media scanner issue, it's an android.process.media issue. That's what's running, not the mediascanner...

Could you explain the difference? When my phone is eating battery (i.e. any time after I power it up), everything (settings, GSam, etc.) all call out "media" as the process, so (1) how can we know which "flavor" of media is involved, and (2) what does each flavor actually do?

When you turn on developer options, and check display CPU usage, for me android.process.media is the top entry. When my phone was acting up, I just had a download icon and the word media on the battery usage stats. If you look closer at each associated thing that "Media" shows, they all lead back to android.process.media. If I understand correctly, pocket is causing this process to misbehave, using battery power when it's not necessary. I hope this helps.

Pocket just updated the app, and it doesn't look like they've fixed the problem. Just a heads up if anyone is still interested.
