I have Sprint and the problem I have with them isn't how fast their speeds are because when they are on they are great. The problem comes in when you walk 10 feet to the left you might lose LTE and knock down to 3g and that is just unusable.
I go to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg a lot on the weekends and up their even if you are getting LTE a lot of times you are lucky to even send a text.
Also if you go to a football game at Neyland Stadium you might as well leave your phone in the car because it is useless. While AT&T and Verizon are able to use their phone.

Its called, network being upgraded.....read the hundreds of posts before this one.....

No reason to be rude about it. He's allowed to post his experience.. He didn't name call or trash talk.. He simply stated his experience so far just like you have... You can't just talk about your side and shoo someone away that may not have as positive of a story as you. That's not fair.

I can't remember if I posted here or not, but I left Sprint for 2 reasons. 1 poor handoff from 3G to 4G, and 2, at best 5 down, and an inconsistent 5 down. When it takes several minutes to load the AC forums app in a metropolitan area, there is a problem with the network.

I'm sorry.... Didn't mean to be rude.

It's just kind of irritating when the entire thread talks about that, then ppl come in and start throwing out negative comments by just reading the last 3 posts.

I don't think it was that.. As he mentioned when the speed is there.. It's there.. He was simply talking about his experience.

The thread is about faith for Sprint. Is there? Of course.. But it doesn't mean everyone is lucky and pulling what you pull.. Some are having major issues. Upgrade or not.

I understand that, but he wasn't talking about speeds, but of network consistency without even reading some of the thread.

I apologized for coming on strong so relax, k.... What I said makes sense. I don't go into any thread, read only two posts, and start blurbing out.

;-) :-)

You'd think after all these years of "Network Upgrades" you'd be able to beam yourself up to the moon by now on Sprint... Several months ago they sent me a text and email that said the network upgrades were completed in my area and I still never saw anything better than 10 Mbps and usually was around 1 - 2 Mbps when I could find an LTE signal.... on 3G 0.5 Mbps was blazing fast on Sprint.... Battery drain was a major issue on Sprint as well... Phone was constantly switching from 3G to LTE to 1X and back... so much so that eventually I turned my phone to 3G only to conserve battery life.... Only switched over to LTE when I knew I was in a good coverage area and needed the boost in speed for something..

To each his own... You have to go with what works best for you and is within your budget..... Sprint Obviously has Miami locked down pretty good... I wish they at least had other Major metro area's upgraded like you have... Everyone I work with here in Dallas who has Sprint complains about their coverage and speed constantly....

and I didn't think you was being rude.... lol..... The joy of forums and even text messages.. hard to read the true intent over text on a screen...

He was just venting, not a big deal. After all this thread is about whether or not there is faith in sprint.

I understand that.. But.. If he is saying how the network for him (aka his experience) there is nothing wrong with that as that's what he has experienced. Just because we talked earlier in the thread about the network being upgraded doesn't mean Sprint is excused and no one should talk about any bad experiences and only positive ones... That would be like me going in a thread where someone talked about T-Mobile having edge (2g) while traveling and me saying "well they're upgrading their edge network to LTE.. It takes time" and that be viable..

I'd rather suggest something else (another carrier) to that person if they travel more... Or see where they are at as they may have a phone issue versus network... Same with Sprint. It would be best to check his area.. See how complete it is... Maybe soon and he'll be good... Or maybe he needs to switch for awhile and come back?

All depends on the person and their area ... But rejecting him with "they're upgrading" isn't always acceptable to everyone as it was to you.

I get you, but I was not rejecting him... Mainly referring him to read further back, to show him why his experience at the moment, is what it is. That is all.

As far as network experience goes, past a certain speed (20,30,40 mbps) latency matters more than raw speed. From the speed tests accumulated here, Tmobile has VERY VERY impressive ping times, very close to my broadband comcast line. Whereas verizon and sprint are off in the 50-60 ms range, not bad, but 30-40 ms ping times are very impressive for wireless.

I'm in a completed nv1.0, and increasingly nv2.0 market, and have been using sprint here since NV first started. Things got a ton worse before they got better, but the end result has been great. No more dropped calls or missed texts, coverage in buildings improved dramatically, and data across the area is seemless and consistently good. I can't speak for how long sprints upgrades will take in other markets, so your results will likely vary, but they have made good in my estimation.

Unless you are playing online video games off of your mobile device, 30-40 to 50-60 ping is VERY laughable....lol.

Just to make sure you don't go into a forum rage I have deleted my previous posts in this thread but I think you might want to go back more than 3 posts and read. The OP was about Sprint not just a measuring contest on how fast your internet speed is on your phone.

I'm somewhat confused with what you wrote here....

I could not agree more! After about 4 pages or so. This became a (inappropriate language edited by Moderator) contest about how fast is my internet! Ohh so much faster than yours! So stupid. Does your phone work? Yes! Now move (inappropriate language edited by Moderator) on (inappropriate language edited by Moderator)!

Exactly my thoughts! I post a speed test to show how good Sprint is getting on a thread titled "any faith left for Sprint" and a comparison train followed with speed tests from T-Mobile and Verizon, which have NOTHING to do with the thread's title and/or what I posted.

Good point bro!
