Any word about Gingerbread for the MT4G?

I have the new MT4G and LOVE it. But, am wondering if there is an official word on when Gingerbread will be rolled out from HTC to T-Mobile to the phones? Thanks!

No official word, but there has been a leak for the desire hd. That's the European version of this phone, basically.

Honeycomb is only for tablets. Ice Cream will be the version after Honeycomb for phones that will basically be Gingerbread with elements of honeycomb built in.

I doubt that they will skip Gingerbread since it's already been leaked for the Desire HD in Europe.

I wouldn't even know where to begin on how to locate this for the desire and install it on my phone. Any ideas?

You must first be rooted. If you read the steps and aren't comfortable with it then I would suggest to wait for the official release for our phone.

Those steps can be found in the Roms/Hacks section.
