Anybody not ordering yet because you prefer the rounded edges and square corners of your Note 10+ through S24 Ultra? I wish the reviewers didn't cry about their hands in their reviews. The reality was, when you had a case on there was no difference with the corners. How ironic that the S25 Ultra is more boxy too? There is no doubt that the the S25 Ultra does not look as good as prior generations.

Lastly, it looks like Samsung is pulling an Apple with a deceiving trick of measuring the screen by the diagonal screen size and then rounding up from 6.86" to 6.9" to sell it as a bigger display when in reality its the smallest display of the past many generations. The screen dimensions for the S25 Ultra are 6.41" x 3.06" for a total of 19.61" square inches. The screen dimensions for the S24 Ultra are 6.39" x 3.11" for a total of 19.87 square inches of display. The difference is .26" of lost viewing space and probably more since the rounded corners are cut from the squared corners. For reference, below are the total screen areas of the past many Notes/Ultras:

S25 Ultra: 19.61"
S24 Ultra: 19.87"
S23 Ultra: 19.74"
S22 Ultra: 19.74"
Note 20 Ultra: 19.73"

The way I interpret that spec sheet is that those measurements are for the entire phone's width, length, height and depth, not the display itself.

If you reduce bezel size and frame thickness surrounding the display, the display doesn't necessarily have to be smaller, if those are the only two variables that changed. The sides of the S24U are rounded or concaved vs boxed off and flat on the S25U. If you're measuring width of the two devices, I could see less distance from side to side as well on the S25U without impacting the display size.

It seems they only state the phone's physical dimensions and then provide a diagonal measurement for the display rather than providing h/w measurements.

At first, I did not like the rounded edges of the 25, and was sick and tired of hearing about how the edges hurt little hands. However, as time went by and I actually saw the REAL item the slight rounding does not bother me. As for comparing everything this company does with their phone to the Note from many years ago I have also moved on and stopped comparing every revolution of this Ultra to a ghost of the past and moved on.
As for comparing anything to an iphone I have never done that and never will. There are different phones and steal ideas from each.

I honestly think people are nit picking and exaggerating on the looks of the S25U from the front. Even going as far to call it an Apple look alike. Even pictured side by side you can spot the S25U from any other phone and it's not because of the camera cutout. It's still boxy just with rounded edges, but the essence of the Ultras shape (after the S21U) is still there. Let's be honest people were going to complain this year as they do every year about the design regardless of how it looks. You can never please 100% of people.

Next year it will be back to revolutionary square corners and everyone will be hurray! Then the following year back to revolutionary rounded corners and everyone will be hurray! Following year back to square corners...etc.etc..

IMO, I feel like it looks more like an iPhone now, than ever.

It's funny to me that the reason it was ever called "unpacked" was because of the curved screen to look less like a box and limitless. And now here we are, all flat and boxed.

As per gsmarena the total area for S24 ultra is 113.5 cm² and for S25 ultra it's 116.9 cm²

According to them S25 ultra is the bigger screen
Nope disagree, i compared my S24 Ultra next to the S25 Ultra, and the display screen on the S24 Ultra is a bit bigger and wider as well and a bit taller, so Samsung, just making stuff up.

So false advertising? The numbers they are providing are not accurate? They are flat out lying to us?

I'm rather excited about the new design. I'm moving to the S25 Ultra from my S22 Ultra. Surprised about how much Samsung is giving for a 3yr old phone.

I traded in my S7 Edge, Upgrade free T-Mobile to and S24 Ultra, now I'll have 3 S24 Ultra phones, S25 not for me.

I checked with Samsung today and I can get the S25U 512g for $400 (plus tax) with trading in my S24U. They're really pushing this phone. First time in years I haven't been tempted.

Yeah, these promotions are awesome. I can get the 25U and buds pro for $400, but I'm having trouble "letting go" of my 24U....
