Anybody think Pixel 2 XL black look boring?

I'm pretty happy with my black Pixel 2 but the Panda of the Pixel 2 XL is unique.

The 'old' live cases, for the original Pixel, had that functionality. Sadly the new ones for the Pixel 2 do not.

For me the black was available locally while the Panda would have been a special order. I didn't wait cause my phones go into a case immediately. I bought a case with red accents for a touch of flair. Do wish mine had the colored on/off button.

I don't know. Maybe because they don't look dead?
If you go to the Google Store under accessories, that's what they are called.
Maybe it's because you get to do a "live" design of your own individual case.

I know that's what they are called in the store.... Just don't understand why.

Since I always place the phone back side down, it doesn't matter the color - the fronts are all the same.

My black Pixel 2 XL is anything but boring after I put my Google Live case on it!
I love this pattern and I think it really gives it a one-of-a-kind look.

No case is worth $40...You may be OK paying that much but its not worth $40. IMHO my $8.99 Teal TPU case looks way nicer than that, and it is not worth $8.99, They are just pieces of plastic.

I ordered the panda on launch day,just because its unique.
I have it in a clear case.
If the panda had not been an option, I would have went with the all black model.
I don't think the black one is boring by the way . Just depends on what you want.

It's all relative. Some will say we pay too much for a phone that's just some pieces of aluminum and plastic.

Apparently they are worth $40 because that's what people are willing to pay. I personally don't spend that much.
