Anybody's pre-order ship?

I dont blame you. I actually ordered the S3 Friday with Express shipping and guess what it will arrive Monday as well. lol I sold my apple watch in preparation for the Galaxy watch. Not having a watch on my wrist when I go out feels all weird like im naked or something lol I figured this way I can try out both devices and see which one works the best.

You guys will like the S3. Samsung Pay is awesome. I only went with the new watch because of the (supposed) better battery life.

I still have my S3 and will probably hang on to it.

Yea thats what I read. The only reason I went with the new one was it was the newer model and the better battery life.
 
Wonderful. Samsung won't let me cancel my order with them. So, they won't ship me a watch but they won't let me cancel the one I have with them either. Outstanding.

Only concern right now is battery life. Tried the always on display today and only got about 8-9 hours before the battery warning came on. Guess I'll have to turn it off.

That's why I used a prepaid debit card. Easier to deal with. The order will cancel when the CC is declined because I pulled the funds off. You should be able to cancel if it hasn't shipped yet.

Wow, that's disappointing. I picked up a watch at a T-mobile over the weekend and am now trying to cancel my order with Samsung. The website says it backordered but it won't let me cancel it either. This is ridiculous.

Based on everyone's experience with the various retailers, etc, what does everyone recommend when the pre-orders for the Galaxy S10 is released new year? Stay away from Samsung? Pre-order from the carrier?

I tried the AOD when I first got my S3. Don't remember how much screen time I was getting, but quickly changed to raise to wake. Now I get 2-3 days between charges. The loss of MST on the Galaxy Watch was more of a deal breaker than battery life. I can put a new battery in my S3 when I determine it needs one. You can't add MST

Luckily my Gear S3 Frontier showed up today. (I ordered it because Samsung was taking so long) anyways im very pleased with it. The battery life is great. (Coming from an apple watch its a billion times better) and the watch faces are out of this world. I got the LTE version as it was the same cost of the regular plus my student discount brought the price to $279. I think im going to keep this, I like the color, the LTE is a plus and it cost less. Im still disappointed at sammy though for screwing us over where I can order one on amazon for same day delivery and even bestbuys here have them in stock now.....

My wife has an Apple Watch, but I've never used one. The Gear S3 is the second smartwatch I've had and I can't see anything beating it. For me it offers a balanced amount of smartwatch features and fitness tracking. If you do any weight training, download Workout Trainer by Skimble for your phone and the companion app for your Gear S3.
 
I'm quite disappointed in Samsung..I ordered it on the 9th at around 11. Basically the night before it was advertised to preorder and I got the backorder status too
 
Just figured I would share my chat log, 8/28: 12:00 ET, watch shows backordered, free band showed shipped Friday, tracking number never showed movement until last night.
