Anyone else bail on the pixel launcher?

Can you get the app shortcuts on nova? I did one but you have to flick up on the app and it's only one action allowed

Just like in the Pixel launcher, just long press on the Apps Icons, one thing though, this works only on the desktop, you can't long press on the Apps Drawer for this or other stuff as it tries to insert the icon on the desktop with the drag and drop motion.

Have to have nougat installed, which on my s7 edge I don't so won't work. Makes sense

The weather doesn't update either on the home screen

Just about ready to give up on the Pixel launcher and go back to Nova. The thing that's killing me is the google weather widget on the home screen that you apparently can't remove (PLEASE tell me I'm wrong!). The problem is google weather uses Madison, WI as my home weather and it's 75 miles away and the weather is ALWAYS different e.g., it shows it's raining and I look outside and see clear blue skies. I hate to have this useless widget stuck on my home screen. That alone is enough to send me back to Nova.

I think I have on Nova - everything that Pixel Launcher has.... plus new icons....

Google Now - double tap
Camera open swipe down
icons/apps - long press for added features
app drawer - swipe up
Google Assistant works

How did get Google Assistant to work on a phone that's not the Pixle or do you have a Pixle and just using Nova? I have a HTC 10.

You just have to setup "ok google" virtually the same exact thing as Google assistant!

Oh I never said it wouldn't work -- You just said it is 100% the same and it isn't. Similar definitely but the assistant can hold the context of the conversation. Not always need but I have used it a good amount of times so far.

No need to watch. I have used Google Now Launcher for a long time before the Pixel and now with the Pixel I have experienced the Assistant so .. I know .

Funny because I never used it until I had the pixel and now that I realized I can use ok google prompts on my s7 I'm happy lol. That combined with nova launcher beta, my s7 looks just like a pixel...well not the hardware.
