Anyone else feel the Galaxy S8 is too small to hold?

The fact that Samsung is making a 5.8 inch screen feel small is simply amazing. Don't forget folks that 5.7 inch was phablet territory and now S8 is being labeled too small.

Samsung hit this one out of the park. I would buy both if I can. Both amazing sizes!

Very well put

I just got back from looking at them both. The s8 would be fine. It's crazy how it's practically the same size as my iPhone 7, yet has that big of a screen on it. That's impressive. The s8+ is very tall. That's what might bother me, is trying to reach the top of the phone with my thumb, one handed to check notifications.

I had the same thought. I buy the big screen phones but am always happy with about 5 to 5.2" screen size devices - Nexus 5, S7, Lumia 950, Pixel, Honor 8, Huawei P10.

The S8 is physically similar to the phones I described but packs in a much larger screen and the in hand feel is superb!

The galaxy s8 is 98.7% as tall, 93.8% as wide, and 103.9% as thick as the s7 edge so not much difference.

Got to play with a demo at a local best buy. I thought it felt great in the hand! A solid phone with TONS of features I'll probably never use.

If you are one of those people who finds phone > 65-70mm wide awkward then that 94% of the width bit is really quite important. That's one of the single biggest reasons I'm considering this phone.

Personally i prefer the size of the s8. I am coming from the one plus 3 which is just a hair too wide to use one handed for my personal use and has resulted in several drops.

I'm kinda having doubts about ordering the s8 plus. It might just be because I haven't been using a phablet sized phone for months. Might have to get use to it again.

But the s8 is compact like a normal smartphone, yet features the screen of a phablet.

It's not truly the same as 16:9 5.8" screen. 5.8" 18.5:9 surface area is considerably smaller. In order for s8+ to have the same area as 6.2 16:9 screen, it needs to have 6.7 inch diagonal.

This phone is fine in hand, I held the S8 and my Pixel side by side and did not have any issues.

I think there will be many drops with the 8+ and people trying to use one handed!

I went to best buy to play with the phones again and both the S8 and S8+ feel real good in the hands. I'm still sticking with the S8 though. Mainly because the Note 8 is right around the corner. This is how much thinner it is compared to my S7 edge.

I'm waiting for the Note 8 as well but really thinking about S8 plus just because I want one. I also have S7 edge right now

I was shocked when I first got my hands on it. Even the S8+ is not an issue. I don't know the target for Note 8 but I will not be a problem.

Not me, just left BB and I love the feel of the S8, compact yet big enough to comfortably hold in one hand. It's the perfect fit, at least for me

Same here. Not knockin' the S8+ though. I just have future plans for the $100 I"ll be saving. Here's another pic.

Its not that hard to use one handed. LG v20. note 7, note 5, note 4, nexus 6 -all have been one handed . some you have to reposition how you hold it but it works pretty well

Some I took
