Three separate events since the update I've experienced the blurry screen. If I pull down the notification shade the shade is clear and normal. My best description of the blurry screen is when the side panel is pulled open the under screen goes blurry. That's what it looks like when it has happened. A restart has fixed it all three times it occured. Any fixes or am I the only one?

Only thing I can think of that I experienced is that the wallpaper was dull and looked blurry with dark mode on. Couldn’t figure out why but then discovered there was a setting under display, dark mode, and an “apply to wallpaper“ toggle. It was on by default. Turning it off brought things back to normal.

The darkening and blurring of the rest of the screen when the edge panel comes out is normal, if you ask me.

Yes that is normal but it stays it stays that way when the side panel is dismissed. Scrolling through the screens it has stayed. Turning screen off then back on did not change the blurry screen. Had to restart. I do have dark mode enabled.

Are you able to post a screenshot? If a screenshot captures it then its most likely software related. If it's the screen itself a screenshot wont capture the error.

Good suggestions with screenshot. If it happens again I will try it. The safe mode would probably be the same as a restart which has resolved the issue all 3 incidents. Hope it doesn't happen again.

Safe mode you would have to restart the device but once your in it ,it disables all 3rd party app to eliminate them from causing this , it will say safe mode at the bottom of the screen so you know your in that mode and a simple restart to exit out . I would try this for little time to see .

So, after having several more instances of blurry screen I changed over to a password to unlock and everything has been great for the last 4 weeks. I believe it was the fingerprint unlock that was causing the issue as there was a slight stall to unlock and a blurry burp for many successful fingerprint unlocks. I would be interested if anyone knew which app controls the fingerprint unlock so I could clear the data and try the fingerprint unlock again. Maybe that would work.

ive had the same issue. no idea what causes it, but same for me, a restart makes it go away.
