I'm sure I'll get flamed for this one!!
Overall, I'm glad i didn't dump the Dinc for the X, I haven't been impressed with anything about it other than the sheer size of the screen.
If I were to dump the dinc, it would be for the Samsung Galaxy S series phone as I have played with the droid X and the Samsung Captivate already. The samsung is a much better built(no cheap wiggly buttons or washed out screen) , sytlish & working phone than the X IMHO.
I'm sure I'll get flamed for this one!!
I was actually thinking of making a move to the droid x from the dinc only because of the battery. When my dinc sits (with nothing running in the background) I end up with 50% battery by about 5 pm. Not to mention, the dinc never fully charges (or charges then kicks over to battery) so when I take it off the charger in the morning I'm starting with 90%.
I love the dinc, but the battery is completely unacceptable. Sure I know I can buy upgraded batteries, but when I spend this much for a phone I shouldn't be required to purchase a battery to make it through the day.
My friends with the X say they make it two days at times without recharging.

I agree with your comment on the buttons, but what's your problem with the screen? I love looking at my screen. Even at the lowest brightness setting, the screen looks great.
EDIT: BTW I love the digital radio tuner in your QRZ shack picture

In a way, I think everyone should go to the store to make the determation to switch or not. I personally like the large screen. I think it has the tools to be an iphone competitor. I just wish they stuck a front facing camera on it.
