Anyone else wish the Pixel 2 was more like the Nexus 5?

You know, I've had an XL for a few days now, and it takes everything about my beloved 6P and made it better. Camera, display, performance, battery usage, etc. Software wise, the two are extremely similar to the point where the uninitiated wouldn't be able to tell the difference... Until you use it. It's a hell of a phone.

Glad it's a great phone!

The Nexus 5 had the best-feeling outside ever. It was grippy without being so grippy it attracted all the lint in the world or anything like that. It was soft and nice to touch. It wasn't a slippery bar of soap at all. It looked nice enough too. It was so smooth.
The front of the phone looks better than the flagships pixels of this year 2017 which is really kind of disheartening :/

The Nexus 5 suffered from an abysmal battery life and camera quality. That was it! Absolutely everything else about it was fantastic.

An updated Nexus 5 would be absolutely wonderful and I would buy it in a heartbeat. It's a shame the 5X missed that mark by so much.

The only phone I've ever broken was the glass back on a nexus 4. Thankfully I had a Zagg film on it, so for the next year it held together - otherwise it would have been spilling tiny shards of glass over everything.
My HTC HD2 was metal and string but suffered from poor signal quality.
Give me good quality plastic any day. Samsung sadly used very thin plastic in their flagship phones giving it a bad name.

I'd like to see the Nexus 5 form factor return and they can use 'premium' materials on it if they want. The Pixel 2 is a lot bigger than the Nexus 5 and I like the smaller form factor phones.

The Nexus 5 was almost perfect, size wise, and rocked the same 5" screen. I also liked the more rounded look of the Nexus 5.
