No it's because someone stole your IMEI number and your credit. I posted in another thread about this. My friend also lost out on his credits.

Some people are plugging in IMEI numbers that aren't theirs and using them to claim the $50 credit. All one really has to do is plug in their own IMEI number and change a few of the numbers. I'm not sure if Samsung is keeping track of IMEI numbers though since I saw somewhere that people were using the same IMEI number and different telephone numbers to claim more than 1 $50 credit.

How long does it take to get the email. It gave me confirmation numbers on website. But still haven't received email. Could it go to spam. If so would it be addressed from Samsung. Thanks

ETA: It took 5-10 minutes for me to receive my email.

on slickdeals people posted that they took in hundreds of dollars in credits. they just changed imei numbers and took the promotion from people who had not redeemed them. i alerted the mods but they didnt care and let it go on.

my friend plugged in his IMEI and wife's IMEI numbers and both were already claimed by this morning.

the thread started at midnight so people were plugging away for hours stealing credits.

Well that sucks. My wife was really looking forward to using those credits. We both are new to Android. I still may have her call Samsung and see if there is anything they can do l.

Got mine but they wanted alot of info. Probably using it as sales data to boost their stocks by announcing how many confirmed sales while also easing peoples anger who are complaining about minor bugs
