That is the mistake I have always made that comes back to bite me every time. I will not make that mistake again. And trust me, the regret is immediate when I would trade in my Note for something else.Keep us posted!! Let me just say I would keep both because I know I would want it back. Don’t do it!!!! Just keep it and switch back and forth.
Not sure if this was meant for me or someone else. But, in the past I would go for the iphone. I just can't do that now. Every time I watch an iPhone X review video I get turned off. Every time I use my s-pen, or Samsung Pay, watch a video, or play a game with my phone, I realize that I don't want an iPhone.Which way have you gone? Traded in for the iPhone then regretted it?
I used to really love ios. Really, there is nothing wrong with it, I just don't prefer it any longer. Getting the iphone 8 would be even more of a letdown for me. It's basically the same design since the iphone 6. If I were going to go back to the iphone it would have to be the X. I really cannot find one good reason to ditch my Note8 other than to try something new. But, just being a new toy isn't going to cut it this time. Even the S9 doesn't excite me.Me personally there's no choice here to make between those two particular phones because the iPhone X's notch drives me crazy! it would annoy the hell outta me as would not having a fingerprint sensor.
Now if it was between a 8 Plus and Note 8 that would be tougher, I know the Note will do more (alot more) but iOS is slick.

I'm the same not really excited about anything upcoming at the moment , I'm enjoying the note 8 and will probably only change if the note 9 brings some improvements.
The only handset that would currently tempt me away from the note would be a Pixel XL 2 and I know it's only cause of the timely updates and for the beta testing of Android P and stock Android. Everytime I'm tempted I realise what id be losing like wireless charging, s pen, SD card, and the best smart phone screen available and then I talk myself outta it haha
My Note hasn't begun to lag. But, I know that's a fear of many who have experienced Samsung devices in the past. I haven't had a Note smartphone lag since the Note4. I do restart my device manually once a week though.I still haven't managed to make my mind up.
Occasionally, I notice a tiny bit of lag in something like Instagram but it's really nothing that isn't solved by restarting the app.
The battery on the note could be better but it's not bad enough to ruin my day.
I've gone back and forth between the iPhone x and this for a week and I still am in two minds over what to do.
My concern is that the Note may start to lag at some point soon. I'm on the US version so the Snapdragon and I've seen that that's the one more likely to lag. And then having to deal with Samsung's awful customer service.
I also miss my Apple watch. The Huawei Watch 2 is ok but it's not the same. Even though I prefer notifications on Android Wear to Apple. Wouldn't even entertain the idea of a Samsung watch.
I literally cannot decide. Something keeps pulling me back to Apple but then everytime I pick up this phone, I think it's beautiful. And using Samsung Pay is great.
Plus Android Auto wipes the floor with CarPlay.
Argh.

I can relate to much of what you are going through. I’ve done it for a number of years. The back and forth is growing old though.
The Note 8 is the best phone available in my opinion. I’m not a fan of the iPhone X. I’ve had it twice and it’s just not for me. The 8 Plus would be my iPhone choice.
I also like the Apple Watch, but I prefer my Gear S3 over it any day. It doesn’t have as many apps but apps on a watch in general are terrible. The core apps on the Gear S3 are excellent and it’s just a better experience overall. The rotating bezel is way better than the Digital Crown on the Apple Watch for me. Not to mention that the S3 looks way better than Apple Watch. Again, all my opinion. I’m just curious why you wouldn’t entertain a Samsung watch?
I have heard that the camera on the iphone is really nice. I have always liked the iphone camera, but I have taken some extraordinary photos with my Note8. Make sure you review your settings in the camera app. I had to change the resolution to the highest and the results were substantial.I'm browsing this on an Iphone X. I’m due to take the Note back today and today is the last day I can do that with the phone and Huawei Watch.
I was out yesterday and took a photo with the X and it came out so beautifully with portrait mode. And then I realised that I have not had a photo look this good taken with the Note 8 in the whole time since I got it.
I looked back at the photos I've taken on the Note 8 on my desktop and they look fine but definitely more oversharpened.
I'm taking the note back with a heavy heart though and know the second I do it, I'll wish I hadn't. Damn!
