The white ones are fugly.
I thought about it and called the place where we have the deposit. They had only gotten 2 in recently so there would still be 4 people ahead of us and we need 3. He said he didn't know when they would be getting more and they would give us a refund so I ordered the white ones at $199.99 ea. They'll be here by Monday the 23rd at the latest...Now I don't have to deal with the rebate forms either.
We're going to put cases on them so the white will be covered anyway.

GOT MINE!! Called around yesterday and got a hint that a sprint store near me was getting a shipment today. I showed up around 10 and waited for the UPS guy to get there, and he brought 8 evo's. By the time I left the store there was only 3 left with at-least 6 people "running to the store". Keep trying there popping up.
Ing i love this phone .... so worth the wait ....

Art came through! I placed my order over the phone with him on Tuesday the 10th and I just received my email confirmation from Art. UPS is scheduled for delivery on Monday the 23rd.
I'm glad I've been stalking android central for the last 12 weeks lol, I just ordered one. I then had a chat with a sprint customer rep and asked about the activation fee.
"Vinchen R: Yes Premier customers also need to pay the activation fees of $36.00.
Vinchen R: Considering your long term association with Sprint I am applying the credit of $ 36.00 against the activation fees, is that fine with you ?"
No its not ok that you give me money lol ty sprint.....then I asked about the white evo 4g being available at sprint.
Vinchen R: Yes, we sell the EVO phone in white colour earlier.
(not sure on his English, but he did say again that sprint will sell the white evo but gave no time frame)
This is too much for my system. Wait nine days with no information. Finally Art sends me a tracking number. He mis-typed it. At least he told me it is due on the 23rd.
They must have gotten a big pile yesterday. Everyone who ordered from the 10th to the 17th shipped out today. Also the rumors that the stores wouldn't get any until today seems mostly true.
Hopefully Art comes through with the discount he found me, so I quickly forget the torture of this last week.

It's still 003, but my screen fades when it dims instead of a sharp change, so not sure which screen it has. But in any case, hardware and screen are beautiful!
