Anyone have any suggestions how I can get my hands on an Evo?

Why would you want an epic??? hello 8mp camera vs 5mp camera.... lol just kidding... im sure some people will love it. I just happen to love pictures sooo thats a big draw for me
you may be able to return your evo and exchange for epic under 30 day exchange policy

Don't get me wrong ... I LOVE MY EVO! The only reason I was thinking of going to the Epic is because I came from a Blackberry to the Evo so I sorta miss my keyboard. I'll have a couple of days after the Epic is released to exchange it under the 30 day policy so i'll just wait and play with it before I make my decision. Either way, i'm happy with my Evo for now.

it surprises me that it's still so tough to find Evo's right now. I suppose that's great for Sprint and HTC. I have people approach me all the time and ask me how I got a hold of mine. (I just walked into Walmart and they had a ton, even though everyone else was completely sold out of them)

Radio Shack seems to get them in frequently. Get on a waiting list ant several stores.

Just depends on where you live. Its very hard to find one here in Northern Cali.

Seriously, the waiting lists are a joke, my suggestion is, keep trying and looking personally till u find it. I got mine easily.. well maybe not that easily, just asking in every best buy and radio shack i come across till someobe says that they have one left (like in my case)

Walked in, and walked out with an EVO. Sad that there are still some poor suckers waiting for that phone call....

I live in Puerto Rico. I was surprised i got one since they barely bring many high end devices at a time. We never got the first gen iphone and there is no Verizon here either so EVO was the most hunted device here.... hell they sell it for 800 on our classifieds. maybe i was just lucky since when i found it, it was the last one on best buy and there was a long line before me, luckily nobody was planning to buy an evo.

Funny you should say that. I got my EVO on June 18 at a Radio Shack in Franklin Square, and got one for my sister about 3 weeks ago at the Sprint store in Bay Shore. I wasn't on a waiting list or wasting hours calling. I stopped by the RS and asked the guy to give me a call if he got an extra in. He called me 2 days later and said I sounded like I really wanted the phone, so he kept my #. The Sprint stores absolutely have them in stock. Walk in and say you want to switch from Verizon if they have an EVO for you and I guarantee they go in the back and come out with one and a story about it being the last one.

It's incredibly hard to find them here in Los Angeles. I've had one for a while now but my girl has been on wait list since June!

Best buy said with a $50 deposit you are guaranteed one within 2 week. That seems like a new offer.
