Really tempted to buy this one, but heard some bad stuff about the wifi connection being weak and dropping, but then nvidia presumably pushed an update to fix it. How is your tablet doing with wifi connection?

Not as strong as a Snapdragon-based device, but depending on the WiFi network you're dealing with it may be livable. I've found I'm able to deal with it, using an Asus AC68 at home.

At home, with my Airport Extreme, weak, but works good. At work, with multiple access points, drops all the time. I've posted this in other threads.

So, is this a design flaw or a software bug that could it be fixed with some updates?

My old first gen iPad picks up the Wi-Fi better than my Nexus 5, of course the Nexus 5 gets much bigger speeds, but in spots where my Nexus 5 can't find anything, I can easily browse the web with an iPad. Having to know that a 2010 tablet can beat a high end tablet from 2014 makes me kind of disappointed, not a dealbraker though.

How about the hands blocking off the antenna? Was that just some build issue they adressed or does it persist in all tablets?

Hands blocking the antenna is not an issue for me. Nvidia said it would be fixed in next update, but it wasn't. Now they say the next. I'll wait until Android L, then move on to something else, if not.

I've problem. I can't connect wifi in my HTC One phone. What should I do? I use Broadband Internet of Banglalion ISP.

I've had issues at work with our secure network. Don't think it's the multiple APNs per se. First time I use the Shield each day, it connects fine. Eventually it will drop during sleep, and sometimes I have to restart to get it to reconnect. Pretty irritating.
