Anyone here not using a screen protector for their Note 8?

I've always wanted to try one but was too afraid. Do they really work?
I use the same thing on my iPhone X as well. Also my fields of work are firefighting and electrical work so it's not like it's not beat up

considering the nice chip and large scratch that across the screen protector that I have no idea how it got there, I use one. Whitestone dome, worth the money.

I don't use one, I alternate between an Alcantara and Spigen case and that's it. Id rather pay for insurance than mess about with screen protectors.

screen protectors aren't worth the drop in usability tbh. They don't look as nice as the naked screen and losing touch sensitivity especially on the Note 8 with the SPen isn't enjoyable. My N8 has been away getting the screen replaced by the insurance company for the past week and I feel like I've had a limb removed not having it with me but I'd still rather stick to a good case and good insurance than have a phone I can't enjoy the rest of the time

been using screen protectors for years, only once did it affect usability, that was on my note 2 or 3. every thing worked except the pen. I think $10 - $50 is definitely worth the price of the deductible and it being out a week. what's a deductible? $100 minimum?

the back of my note 8 has always had a case, covered in tiny scratches.

dropped and shattered my screen last Friday(sad day!). Otter box commuter only does so much. Warranty replaced it the next day!(fast delivery)
looking for a good case now.

I’ve only used my insurance once. I had a replacement handset within 24 hours. On the occasion I had to use it, no screen protector in the world would of saved the phones screen.

The insurance is via my bank and the price is included in my monthly fee, along with travel insurance. The price is so low I can’t even remember what it is.

I had to pay a £80 deductible, which is steep, but you get people on here paying double that trying out numerous screen protectors.

using Note 8 SINCE oct 1st had a screen guard but that had glue only on the edges ...and touch was horrible...Then I found full glue tempered glass which is case friendly....touch was as good as original screen....but recently my dropped and screen guard was shattered...I removes it then I remembered I was covered by Samsung for free 1 time screen replacement for just 990 rs that is around 15$ so now I can used my phone naked and truley enjoying the phone more....can use my phone worry free

What is the one time screen replacement deal. Is this everyone or a certain warranty

I've been using the Whitestone Dome and today my phone slid off a work bench and bounced twice on the concrete floor in the basement. 2 corners cracked but the phone is fine, not a scratch. Ordered a replacement.

I had to use insurance on my S7 twice, at $150 ea, once when I dropped it off a dock and couldn't find it until morning and it got ran over. The other time it landed in a sharp time rock in the 1/8" space between the screen protector and case.
However, I have always gotten a lot of tiny scratches on phones, the edges are a magnet. I found that a quality screen protector fixes all that.

Put a screen protector on launch day all is good no issues at all. It's a bodyguardz brand which has held up well with only border adhesive.

I haven't been using one since day 1 and my screen is scratched horribly. These screens don't hold up well at all.

Case-Mate black leather folio. Extra padding seems to make phone feel smaller. I never put any type of overlay on the screen. $60. Note 8 or S8+. Have them both.

Screen fit must be perfect. When you do that, no issues. Especially side to side. If you have touch issues on on side, the glass is too far on that side!
