Anyone know what became of this?

thought it might be a galaxy device.. the reverb for vm http://news.cnet.com/8301-1035_3-57497657-94/boost-virgin-get-their-own-new-samsung-galaxy-phones/

The Virgin offerings truly sucked. I cant beleive they hosted a big show for three devices, only one of which is really worth it, and thats the one NOT coming to Virgin.

Oh well, I'm moving over to TMo soon anyway.

I wish I knew where and when this event was earlier since I live in NYC

I read a comment on an article suggesting Sprint merge together Virgin and Boost.

To be honest- I agree. Have one line up of phones- (remove "duplicates"- phones that are the same or similar) e.g. Evo Design and Evo V and merge plans- Keep Virgin's 35-45-50/55 plans and add in Boost Mobile's shrinkage to the 55? Could be a great thing. Still, Virgin's only decent phone is the Evo V, but Boost has the Evo AND the SII? Not fair.

I know this is the last month Im going to have virgin mobile (T-mobile here I come) but i still dont see why boost mobile has all ways got better/newer phones

Agreed! Virgin Mobile has better plans but way worse phones- All are Mid-low or low end phones where as Boost has some mid-high and highish end phones (Evo, Marquee, SII)

simple mobile...check em out. they have a $40 plan that blows away vms $55 plan imo. gotta pick a costlier device outside the one wildfire I noticed on their site, but its gsm, prepaid and you can use unsupported phones as long as you can configure it to their network.

the 2 GB data is a killer for me

well from what I saw on simple mobile site the $40 plan was *unlimited 3G data. but there is the asterisk there. don't know enough about how they operate to say whether they throttle you hard or are more relaxed like vm is. both have a theoretical data cap.

From what I read they will cut you off after 2GB or 100 mb a day. They say your are "abusing" the "unlimited" data

If virgin got the s2 that'd be great but provably still keep the one v because of price ranges. The s2 is going to be like 350$ minimum

Sent from my HTC One V

I dont trust Simple Mobile for some reason. W/E. Im moving to a GNex on TMo

Same here I dont know what about them it is. It could be because they use At&t and I have always had issues with them with dropped calls and data when i had att they kept trying to remove my unlimited data plan.

I read on cnet or another site, can't recall which and it may have been a guesstimate by the site..the price range was around $249
