anyone mad about the razrmaxx?

As for the ICS update for the Razr, I don't believe Moto ever stated a date for the update, so just like the Nexus release, the update isn't late. And far beyond the rest? The only device with an official OTA ICS update is the Transformer Prime which has long been known as the first device that would see the update.

Actually, they said Q1 2012. And at ces a guy mentioned Q2 2012. They clearly don't have their $hit straight. I'd say April - May for most manufacturers.

I'm using Juice Defender Ultimate, and Smart actions. It is not rooted. I made about 10 calls, checked my email about 12 times, and listened to maybe an hour of music, and used navigation (Sygic) Phones to me are too important to kill playing video games or listening to music, so I always have an iPod Touch handy (64gb 4th gen currently) to listen to music watch movies or play games so I don't kill my phones battery doing it. I do need to listen to internet radio when away from Wifi, which is why the hour of music.

Where did they say that it would be Q1? I am reading the official Motorola update regarding ICS published on December 7, 2011, and no where does it mention a date. Although reports from back in October say early 2012, this in no way specifies Q1.

Uhh.. Early 2012 = Q1 in my book.

Technically, Early 2012 goes from Jan - June.

Plus, if you would read the context of the statement, they were specifically referring to the unbranded Motorola RAZR, and in the same paragraph where this is said, it is stated that it would take longer for the Verizon branded RAZR to see ICS.

Trying to keep apples to apples here.

Now we are going to have an uproar over ICS!?!? Ridiculous... NO other device, except the Galaxy Nexus even has ICS... and some of you expect the RAZR to have it first... that is sooooo stu$*d... at CES Motorola high ups said Q2. Let's just wait and see.

If you don't like it, go buy a Samsung or HTC and see how bad they are at getting their devices updated.

And not only that, but we are only 18 days into the 2012 year, and some (read: GN owners) are mad that Moto is not going to have ICS in the first quarter.....

I am lucky. I still have my Droid X and can not upgrade for for another few months, so I think all of the issues that make the GNers mad will be worked out before I step up to the Razr or RazxMaxx. I think I will go with the Maxx (since it is lighter and thinner than DroidX, but slightly larger), but will have to hold both side by side before I make final decision.

Well, now I must go get mad over the fact that Moto is not going to release the JuJuBee until after they release ICS. I mean, I am sooooooo mad that they will not give me JuJuBee on my DroidX that I think I will never even look at a Moto phone again. Matter of fact. I just got so mad, I threw my X out of my 4th story window........lol

Since when does early 2012 constitute the entire first half of the year? Early 2012 means the first quarter of the year. I don't know how you came to that conclusion. I want whatever you're smoking.

I am smoking some good sh_t. It is called reality.........lol

Based on how long it took moto to release an update to my bionic just to get it working right, i wouldnt expect ics to come to the razr within the next milleneum. Jmo.

That is about the perfect timing for me. As I am smoking some good stuff, I operate at a much slower pace than most people on these forums......lol

Coming from a GN user, and if it wasn't for having a Nexus you'd have depend on the lack of Samsung updates yourself... sounds like you are just trying to get reactions from Motorola RAZR users... or soon to be RAZR MAXX users.

Not sure what all the clamoring is over ICS. It's way too buggy for me at this point (based on my perusing of term Nexus forums). If I wanted to be a beta tester I would have bought a Nexus. Let the beta testers work out the kinks so that the rest of us can enjoy it once we get it.
