anyone mad about the razrmaxx?

So now im poking fun at razr owners? When have I ever made statement that would suggest so? I had a Razr for 45 days (thanks to best buys' return policy with silver reward zone) and I did enjoy it, however I found the GN better for me. I was very upset with the way motorola handled the screen blotch issue, as well as my power button being flush with the body of the phone after 1 week of use. there are many reason why I believe the GN is better than the Razr, but those same reasons might apply differently TO YOU. If you call googling' razr vs galaxy nexus for 2 minutes digging, then yes you got me. I hope that gives you pleasure somehow? Either way, im pretty much given up on this debacle back and forth, I really just dont care at the end of the day.

Apparently you did . I hope it was good for you too. In manufacturing there is always a possibility of producing a few defective pieces of hardware. You were unlucky to receive one -- my Razr works fine... No defects. Next time stick to the GN forum -- you might actually be useful there.

Motorola actions dont do anything for battery. Sure, turning the data off periodically helps battery but if i wanted that, id get a feature phone. Smart actions is great for other things. Like automatically turning on Bluetooth when I put it on a charger. Also, there are better versions of applications available in the marketplace for free that have even more options and features.

You are wrong about it not helping battery life. I got an increase of almost 40% with SA. I experimented over a two week period and can assure you that it helps. I'm not saying that other apps don't do similar things, but I can attest to the fact that SA does indeed drastically improve battery life. You just need to taylor them to the way you use your phone.

I'm mad I didn't wait a little longer to get the Razr. Fact is, I knew the battery size and issues when I bought it and I bought it anyway so I have no reason to be mad at Moto.

There is no way moto could have released a "non razr" thin phone and called it razr. They would be the joke of the entire industry. The whole campaign was built on being the thinnest smart phone in the tradition of the Razr brand. Once you have established that, only then can you make a second version called the Maxx. What they could have done was release both and given us a choice. I personally would have still chosen the thin and sexy RAZR. Is there no one in these forums that values style???

I hope not! Releasing a steady and rapid stream of new Android devices is NOT behavior I discourage. Throttling back their offerings to one new phone a year just to make folks with yesterday's phone happier - that's behavior I'd discourage. They'd be like RIM!

Pictures very similar, with Samsung emphasizing more into the color of the image than the razr. The razrs video camera capture is better, but I personally could care less about videos.

Battery life is severely dictated on how you use your phone. Im not even going to get into that with you.

With zoom fx there is an option to amp the color saturation of the camera. Wait before you go sayin that u dont have to buy any add ons for the GN camera. I was reccomended that u get one to boost the sound on the GN. Jus sayin....... yes I did on a GN.

This really is what you have to expect from Motorola, they have released more android phones last year than any other company. They all aren't even very different. This is just their attempt to saturate the market even more with their sub-quality phones.

Why do you think people all ask "is that a droid?" rather than is that an android phone. I'm so sick of motorola. I will only ever buy samsung or HTC for android phones at the current time.

Well your wish is granted. Moto has said just that. They are going to release fewer phones.

As for a Moto Nexus, I am all in favor of that. Samsung and HTC just don't cut it.

And just buy an extended battery and you have a maxx, don't worry, neither will be updated in a timely manner.

my comment would be this. first fully desire what you expect your new phone to be feature wise. Then wait for those features to be 100% met and buy that phone. Thats the reason I am going to buy the Razr Maxx.

Rezound sucks and that's a Fact. Its got "Beats" that's nuff said. However i will say i love how the blacks can turn into light grays without adjusting any settings. You just need to move your phone 4 deg in any angle lol

I'm serious to see how the razr maxx in a case carry's. I know the razr without one its awesome cant feel it and in one you can feel it but its still east to keep in your pocket.

Wondering what happened to civil discourse. We all don't like mac n' cheese. Some like lasagna. Others egg noodles. Geez. Some of us happen to like Moto, others not. Why make a big deal out of it. Go get your air out elsewhere. While I do feel a bit peeved that they've released by Razr now with a real battery, it just says they're responsive. They saw that the Razr original wasn't adequate, so they fixed it. The topic of this thread was is anyone upset about the Maxx...not Blur bugs or Moto bugs or Blur making a phone laggy.. Seeing as how it was 2 current G Nex owners who got the ball rolling.... just saying.

For reference...I had a G Nex and I exchanged it for a Rezound. For the reception issues... and the Rezound performs beautifully compared to the G Nex. Thats real world use, not bars and decibels.

Thats the Rezound with no updates....vs. the G Nex I installed 4.0.3 radios on.

Maybe I should go and start a thread in the G Nex forums asking G Nex owners why are they dealing with basically a personal media player instead of getting a phone with better reception like the RAZR or Rezound...

And lack of dates and countless bugs can apply to all the manufacture if you wanna be honest. HTC has dropped the ball at times too. And the G Nex being a Nexus is saving Samsung in the US as far as updates. Although....baseband/radio updates have to have Samsung hand in it so....

if you're angry about a better phone coming out shortly after you bought yours...you'll never be happy with the phone you bought...be happy with what you have, and quit with the "bigger and better" thing...or you'll never be happy...also, kingsway, the razr has a non-removable battery...good luck getting an extended battery for it(i get almost 20 hours out of my razr, but you know...each his/her own)
