Anyone order from Samsung directly?

Well I can still cancel my preorder, and reorder. Between Best Buy and Digital River, who is better?

TBH, I'm not sure because I read a lot of horror stories about best buy and pre ordering especially regarding returns. I know during the Note 7 ordeal it varied from each Best Buy but some people had a tough time. Then again Samsung.com I also heard a lot of bad stuff during the Note 7 replacement process and returns process.

A lot more people ordered directly from samsung this time around so hopefully they don't screw it up. I wanted to save $25 bucks by ordering from Samsung versus Tmobile and the articles as well as Samsung.com said get it by 4/20.

The link said they did 30 billion dollars in transactions. You'd think a company that does that much volume would have a excellent distribution process.
 
I just wish Samsung would communicate anything. I got confirmation email when I ordered but that's it 🤦🏼*♂️

Same here. I ordered from them directly too thinking I'd get it earlier but it looks like we will get them on 4.19 or 4.20 like everyone else now. They were really boasting about getting it early If you bought from them.

Did Samsung actually mention orders from them directly would get it earlier ? Last year I ordered one note 7 from Rogers and one from Samsung. Rogers came like a week earlier

I don't remember exact verbiage but yes; something to effect of order from us get before anybody else. Maybe someone had a screenshot.
 
I just checked and now I cannot cancel my order anymore, my card has not been charged yet, but that is a change. As far as getting the phone "earlier", Samsung just stated that you would get it before it's in stores not before other carriers ship it out.

The language when pre-ordering directly from Samsung said it would be received by April 20th.

"Premium Care, low monthly payments, and delivery by 4/20. Exclusive when you order Samsung Galaxy S8 on Samsung.com or Shop Samsung App."

"Pre-order by 12:00pm EDT on 4/17/17 to get the Galaxy S8+ on 4/20/17"

Though I think the TRUE benefit when pre-ordering from Samsung is being guaranteed to get the extras without having to file any paperwork, or worry about them running out of the pre-order items. Especially if opting for the bundle that includes the bluetooth headphones and SD card. It's one the reasons I dumped my Best Buy preorder and ended up choosing to purchase directly from Samsung. Saves the hassle.

Hopefully it ships tomorrow as Samsung told me they would but i got a feeling it won't be until tue. Hopefully late tonight they get picked up. They're really cutting it down to the wire here shipping wise especially using 2 day shipping. They will have a lot of upset people of they don't get it until Friday.

Same here, the Cancel Preorder button is gone.

As long as it comes next week I'll be happy. If we get our phones a week or more after launch, then I'll be upset. I switched my preorder from Best Buy because of all the stories of them not fulfilling preorders in a timely manner.
 
On Samsung.com it has the 20th, so I expect it on the 20th. Earlier would be nice to but no later.
