Anyone putting stock in Dec 15th?

Under 24 hours now and still no word from Verizon, you would think they would have sent out a press release this morning. I am not feeling very confident about getting this phone tomorrow.

How early do they usually announce non-droid phones? I've never waited on a phone like this so I have no clue.

Usually correct.. but their Twitter Feed usually starts leaking it out before then...

Either way, they always announce it to the call centers and stores ahead of time. Usually a day or so. Not seeing that.

my Gnex has not got an update to 4.1 yet... i would think today it would go live, for a tomorrow release of this phone... ill keep ya updated on if i get a update...

I would think the update would go live a lot earlier then one day prior to release.

If this phone is actually very buggy they won't want a consumer to have a non updated version. And since so much is riding on proper distribution of the update then I would expect it to be set in place and make sure everything is in working order (update distribution) rather then last minute and the system crash and thousands have buggy phones....

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed though.

you are right.. i was on the phone with them last night.. i asked just for sn'g's and he looked for about 5 minutes and then came back and told me he couldnt find a thing on that phone.

I still wouldn't get too worked up about no press release from Verizon. They could still do it the same day as release. I believe that the D3 was available on their website early morning on the release day, and the press release didn't come out until later that morning.

I thinking verizon botched it up today but a couple of weeks ago droid life reported on it being a low key release just an email saying it is released. so maybe today. If it doesnt happen today Im going to be disappointed. Just a date not so hard to ask for.

I just spoke to a CSR at a central NJ location - he wouldn't "tell me" but when I told him I was adding a line, he got a lot friendlier - said that if I were to come by @ 9AM FRIDAY morning (12/16), that he would be able to help me with the handset and accessories, but not to quote him.

With all of the leaks over the past couple of weeks, they are probably keeping everything hidden until the last possible minute, including all of the dead links in their system.

Wouldn't surprise me if they went this route. Especially since they just announced the Razr....in WHITE.

I whole hartedly believe this will launch on the 15th. I went into the store the other, and told them the only way I'd switch over to VZW was by getting the Galaxy Nexus S - they told me it was launching on the 15th, with a price of $299.

We shall see tomorrow...

Any corp stores confirming GNEX for 12/15?

I'm assuming that if the phone that we do not speak of actually launches tomorrow, that the corporate stores should know today, no? Meaning we should be able to call today and find out, that way I know if I'm going there tomorrow or not. I would assume that if it was selling tomorrow, the stores would have to know by now?

Yeah, there's a few threads where people are already reporting their call results. Hopefully a mod can merge this onto one.

They are being merged into this one I believe. On that note, I called my local verizon store and the guy said he is waiting on official word just like everyone else, but as of now has no official confirmation that it is launching tomorrow. :-/

Yeah, I emailed the PR rep this morning, who posted the White Droid RAZR press release about the release of the Galaxy Nexus and/or about a press release for it. And he replied back with this:
