Anyone seen Android OS wakelock issue after August security update?

I started seeing Android OS keeping my phone awake for a significant time since I unplug from the charger. There is always a gradual down-curve on the battery stats, and Awake bars don't seem to show proper dozing... Also, the awake bar tends to show strange things, like solid (constantly awake), or sometimes it will not show anything at all, even though I'm using the phone.
Anyone experienced this type of issue??

Haven't paid much attention but now that you mention it, I will test the theory out on my Nexus.

Hi I'm facing this too. I've got a new 6p last week, reset it to default, same issue as well. Android OS wake lock takes up more battery life than screen on time. Averaging 3hr SOT. Android wake lock is being kept awake for 1 and a half hours at the end of my battery cycle =/ Any clue as to whats going on ?

I had mine take hours of wake time consuming more than SOT alone. Although now it seems to be stabilizing and noticed improvement.

Is Google now on for you? I've turned it off and it seems android OS is still taking up a lot of battery..

Yep, currently experiencing the same issues. My Nexus 6P seems to constantly be awake. Have tried turning off location services and it didn't seem to do anything. Any suggestions?

This is absolute insanity. Left my phone at 44% for 8 hours and it dropped 42% due to Android OS. WTF. I'm going to Nougat DP5 to see if that improves things.

Hold off until Monday for the official release?

Decided to go with it. Fixed the wifi issues i have at home which weirdly only happens on MM. So far so good. I just have to wait for the OTA for the public release right?

Battery life with Nougat Preview 5 is insanely good, particularly standby.

Yep. OTA will come to your phone for the official update if you enrolled in the beta program and got DP5 OTA. If you flashed the DP5 image, you will have to flash the public release one when it comes out.

Android OS drain is still happening on DP5. I'm starting to think this is a Google server side issue =/

Have upgraded to the official 7.0 Nougat release and problem is still occurring on my Nexus 6P. Using Wakelock detector, seems as that "wlan_rx_wake" is keeping the phone awake, as well as "PowerManagerService.WakeLocks". Android OS and Android System are draining my battery when in standby, keeping the phone awake.Screenshot_20160830-123528.pngScreenshot_20160830-123536.pngScreenshot_20160830-123540.png

FYI, issue only happens when I am at work, connected on the work WiFi.

Anyway, seems like SVP of Android is aware of it. Check Reddit out. Also, could it be why the factory images for the phones aren't out yet? Google is working on a fix?
