Anyone selling/returning their Incredible for the Droid X?

my 30 days end on the 2nd but the rumors of the X not being able to be rooted is a deal killer for me and I like the MotoBlur but not the over UI

+1: I want to be able to root my phone! I really don't have enough experience with the UIs to say what I like more, but root gives me the option to try different things and that's what I want in an android phone. Locking it down and not allowing root is very limiting to me.

I'm seriously thinking about it. The lack of accessories for the Incredible is frustrating. The X is launching with a desktop dock and a car dock (as HTC should have done with the Incredible).

My 30 days are up on the 21st, so I still have time to think about it. I tried the X in a corp store and quite liked it, but I must admit, I'm not sure if it's enough of a step-up yet. The Inc is so nice and pocketable, I do really like it's silly over-saturated colors (I know others don't, but hey, what can I say), and as weird as it sounds, the Incredible right now just kinda "works" and I'm not sure I want to ruin a good thing and discover stuff on the X I don't quite like. Sure, there are probably things on the X that might work better than on the Incredible, but right now, the Inc is serving me well.

Will give it a day or two to decide. I was all about rushing out tomorrow A.M. and getting in line, but I think a few more days of waiting to see initial reactions might be the sane thing to do.

If I didn't love the Inc, it'd be a no-brainer of course. Trouble is, I've got quite attached to the darn thing. :)

Negative.. I'm sure the Droix X is gonna be cool but it's too big. I don't like that funky design with the big curve at the top and with the Incredible's touch keyboard being so good, no need for a physical one. So yeah, keeping my Incredible.

I'm waiting to hear what the 1-year pricing will be. Currently have my second DInc replacement coming in the mail tomorrow and will start my 3rd installment of 30 days WFG.

I need to play with the X more in store.

75% chance i will stay with the DInc
25% chance i go to the X

Are you sure I talked to a Verizon Tech and he said that your 30 days don't start over and even though I had my first DInc for less then two weeks and the replacement didn't get sent out for over two weeks that my 30 days was over. BS

You are correct. Your 30 day is not reset each time you get a replacement phone, your 30 day guarantee is set from the initial purchase date. If they reset the 30 day "clock" each time you swapped out your device, they would have a boat load of people doing this.

The only thing that *may* get reset when you swap out a phone is the warranty but definitely NOT the 30 day guarantee.

Dear ******,

I can understand your concern with wanting to cancel your Droid Incredible order and get the Droid X, and this can be done. My name is Roy and I received your email regarding your inquiry and you can either contact telesales to cancel the order or you can wait for the phone to be received and then return it within 30 days to let it get returned then once we receive it and adjust your account we will then be able to process an order for the Droid X.

If you are wanting to place a request to cancel the order, you can contact telesales by calling 1-800-256-4646 and speaking with a representative who can remove the equipment order for you. Note that we do not have the Droid X currently available for order or even pre-order so you can cancel the order however you will need to wait a bit longer for the device's order options to become available. If you have any other questions please reply to this email.

It was my pleasure to address your order inquiry by providing details on how to cancel your current order, *****. We appreciate your business and thank you for choosing Verizon Wireless. Should you have any further questions, please reply to this email.

Sincerely,

****

Guess I'm the exception then. This is my 2nd Incredible that is shipped to me... and I have 30 days from today (since i go to fedex to pick it up).

Purchased first Incredible on release day. Had a second shipped to me due to faulty optical pad. The second one i received was also defective, so sent back. Third Incredible i pick up today and have 30 days for my WFG.

I played with this for today and wasn't very impressed.my inc was faster and easier to navigate screens.the blur widgets I didn't like at all and it did get very hot anyway I passed on it the inc is the best phone I have had but would like a bigger screen.

Just compared the X to the Inc in the Verizon Store. The Droid X seems to be better to type on. But aside from that, the Inc is a more polished and pocketable phone.

I've had my Dinc for three days now and I am deffinitely going to switch to the X. My friend got his this morning after waiting in line and I got to play with it, and for me, perfect. The Dinc is just way too sensitive for me and I keep brushing unintended buttons. I thought I would get used to it, but I can't. The X fit perfectly for me though. Also, my reception with the Dinc for some reason is terrible (I live in a very well populated and networked area in Jersey) where my friend's X was perfect. Also, I can't hear people talking to me on my Dinc, but maybe that's just my particular handset and needs to be replaced. It's a cool phone, but the X suits my needs better. Only problem now is waiting again for more to ship to change.

I played with the Droid X today. I am keeping my Incredible. End of story.

Incredible FTW.

I will be keeping my Incredible as well. But I can see why people want the X. Me personally I am going to wait for the Iphone. JUST KIDDING! Sorry bad joke. Keep on rockin with android!

I've had my Droid Incredible for a month now and I'm definitely keeping it! I love HTC Sense and it is the perfect size. Some of the pros of the Droid X (720P recording, HDMI, etc) don't matter much for me and the Dinc does everything else that the X can do. So I'm keeping it.

Same thing here I was not impressed at all. I do not like the big screen its too big. I was in a vzw playing with the droid x and someone was in there deciding on the incredible or x. I showed him my inc and he played with the x and he chose the inc. The X lagged when changing homescreens and the browser was not as fast. I am sure its a great phone and the only way to make an analysis is to have the phone and use it on an everyday basis. I love my inc.
