Anyone still not get the update

Well just got the update. It is downloading as we speak. No tricks...downloading on 4G. tried the various tricks for days no download. just checked it again this morning and first time the update was avaliable. So i figure it was just a staggered roll out to a list that I happened to be very far down...o well...will update later as to noticed changes...

I have noticed my battery life has increased dramatically since I downloaded the update. I am in a 3g only area (no 4g) and have not lost any battery level yet. Usually within the first hour or so I would have dropped some battery level.

Also, text message tone is now different than before.

I just wanted to let you all know that I finally have gotten the update! I had the disappearing window problem and I have been checking regularly since Friday. This morning, I decided to give a shot expecting to be let down but...there it was! (in NYC and on 4G) I did not have to install any new market or do anything different. Update went smooth and I am happy just knowing I am actually able to receive updates. Hang in there guys. There is hope.

Co worker had trouble getting the OTA update. She had her sim card replaced and the update came through.

I rejected the update. I have had my phone for 2 weeks and have not had a single reboot or any major issues with it. At this time I have no need for the update. Plus, I still have my free hotspot (for now at least)

Like yourself, I have opted not to do the update. And like most on this forum I did have a serious re-boot issue which by some miracle seems to have disappeared. Now while I like to see about getting a longer battery life, I'll just keep what I have and stroll down the road with my free hotspot.

just got mine in chicago on 4g late last night, had the disappearing window problem just like everyone else. haven't really noticed any differences yet, my girlfriend was the one having bad reboot issues tho

Just got mine in North Carolina. Had the disappearing window problem also. Then got the service unavailable notice. We will see how it goes.

Ran well on the update all day today. Of course, my reboots and 4G/1X problems seem to have "fixed" themselves over the last week prior to downloading the newest update. So, hopefully that persists.

I lol'd, though, when I opened the My Verizon app, and the initial animation looked laggy, and like something you'd see on a non-smart phone. Really, Verizon? The Thunderbolt is a very fast, powerful phone, and you can't be bothered to make an animation that doesn't look like crap? That was just something that made me laugh.

It was the same for me here in the St Louis market until 11 pm last night. Did a check update right before I was going to bed and wadda know it started. Gotta say it helped my phone out a lot.

Finally got mine tonight. I did have the vanishing window update also. Don't worry to who ever has not gotten the update. It will come.

I guess we all know the answer now regarding the disappearing update check window.

Seriously, I really am glad it worked for you. I was starting to think you'd be the only one who got skunked! Sure glad that didn't happen!

Finally got the update last night, it took two download attempts for a successful installation. Today the phone has been suspiciously well behaved without a single reboot. I've also noticed better battery life, but then again I might just be imagining things having been caught up in the euphoria of having a fully functioning phone again.

I live in Wisconsin, idk if my phone is a flook or what. But I had no reboot problems, this morning I saw the update was available. Downloaded, installed no problems..... then around 8am this morning all H3ll broke lose. Since then my phone has been rebooting non stop, i lost track after 20 reboots, went into verizon they erased everything and then rebooted it. worked fine for a half hour and it all started over again.
Called them back and I have another phone on the way, due in tomorrow. Any ideas at all?

I wish to hell that ida clicked 'no' on the update. ever since it updated, ive lost features, handcent is screwed up, settings are haywire, GPS still sucks, and betterkeyboard 8 no longer works.
