Anyone Switch to iPhone Max??

The reality is, both OSes are pretty boring at this point. Neither is bringing anything groundbreaking to the table at this point, it really comes down to which one you like better.
Agreed, as much as I love Android, it's becoming all the same at this point. I'm just glad for the customization option as well as less locked down. Besides that, eh.

Note 9 is years ahead of any iPhone. Tim Crook will never let his flock have this much tech in an iPhone. I think they are ugly AF also with that giant camera hump that makes it unusable when laying flat, still not even a 1440p display in 2018 and that notch is Plus I like being able customize my phone to make it mine and not just change the wallpaper. I use my headphone jack and split screen multitasking a lot and the A12 "bionic"still can't do it. YouTube picture in picture don't even work on iOS. But hey the geekbench score is the highest at least. iPhones are fast at doing nothing... Oh and SAMSUNG PAY is the best! MST is a must for me. Plus all the rewards I get from it.
Why do you like Samsung Pay? I have it on my S9 but just use Google Pay. Am I missing something?

I have a Samsung S9 but I do recommend Apple phones to two groups of people:
1) Senior citizens who find any technical device difficult to understand. Apple goes to great lengths to make their phone simple, although it's not as simple or elegant as my old Windows Phone.
2) People who are already invested in the Apple system such as an IPad, laptop or other Apple device. With Apple you don't need to switch everything to their brand but it helps.

For everyone else, I recommend Android devices. They are simply giving you more phone for the dollar. Even my Apple enthusiast nephew was frustrated with the poor battery life of his iPhone and how fragile the screens are. He was also frustrated when I put my Samsung down on the cubby hole of his new KIA SUV and it started charging. You can't do that with an iPhone.

I believe once the new phone novelty is off many will switch back from xs max to Note 9...iOS is a very boring OS...
Agreed.

Apple is very smart with their itunes, locking users love me which is why I keep going back to the iPhone...when priced right. LOL

This is why I had to get the new iPad because I invested years ago when android was still catching up. LOL

The iPhone Xs Max is very nice. It's built very well. Actually feels better Naked in my hand than the Note 9 does.

But there are a few things that prevent me from going back into the Apple Wonderland:
1. No stylus
2. No FPS
3. The Notch

So, no I'm not switching but it is a nice phone and I can understand why many may like it.
I must admit though, I really like that new Series 4 Apple Watch.

Yes you are missing out on a lot actually.

Samsung pay has MST which allows you to use it on terminals that dont offer NFC. It simulates the magnetic strip on the back of your credit card.
It works almost all of the time!

I love the new Apple watch and I'm not an Apple ANYthing user or a watch wearer LOL If Android made one as cool looking as the new Apple 4 watch, I'd buy one.

I'm not saying you're wrong but perhaps I don't understand. Android pay has always worked at every terminal that allows tap payment. What is MST and where would I use it?

MST basically mimics the magnetic strip of a credit card and works at credit card stations that do not accept NFC (tap payments). This is extremely useful in stores that have not upgraded their machines and can't accept Apple Pay or Google Pay. Samsung Pay uses the "swipe" reader and just works.

I can't switch to iOS because there's a lot of thing I wouldn't be able to do like download youtube videos, use YouTube vanced, split screen, emulators, etc.

But not gonna lie, I'm jealous that iPhone XS max has better battery life with 3174 mah than the Note 9 with 4000 mah and also that does not do a lot of dropped frames like samsung. Even my $500 OnePlus 6 was noticeable smoother and faster than the N9 :(

Considering that it has way lesser features than the Note 9 , I would imagine the battery ought to last longer. Let's face it, it's not doing much :)

New galaxy watch is cool, I have the 46mm bluetooth version and love it

Yup. I ordered and 44mm Apple watch and got the max. Love the max. I have the note 8.

My family is all Apple that's why I got it. I had the Android watch but I missed my Apple watch. Unfortunately, Android watch hasn't captivated c my heart.

Note 9 is awesome so was the note 8 but I love my Max too.

I came back to the Note from the iphone. I am not going back at least this time around. I love my Note 9.

Let me say this. I have the Apple Watch 3 and the galaxy watch I will say without a doubt the galaxy watch is superior. Here’s why
1. It’s a true lte watch
2. Your phone is off you can send text to an apple user or android
Also a watch tell time they both do that. I’m really not for sure what you mean captivate lol. Please don’t bring up ekg

I'm getting the GPS version only no lte. I don't like the design of the Galaxy watch interface. I prefer the watchOS. It'll pair with my Max better than the Galaxy watch. The Apple watch gets more support and more apps.

They are both good product because they're top of the line. I don't have a brand loyalty, I love both Apple and Samsung products and I'm a huge fan of Google. I'm just getting whichever that will work well for me.
