Anyone switching back to iPhone?

Re: Anyone switching back to Iphone?

Not true for Google Play Edition or Nexus phones.
When Apple makes an update they can push it directly out to the phone.

If google does an update to Android, the manufacturers have to do their thing to it (i.e. Samsung). Then carriers also customize things so the take a 3rd pass at the update before it can go out.

Apple forbids the carriers from making any changes to iOS.

Re: Anyone switching back to Iphone?

If the iPhone 6 has a 5'' screen or bigger then I'm Back. I love the build quality on the Apple iPhones. Its a very sexy phone! Also they maintain their value. The iPhone 5 is still getting 400-500 bucks used where as I can't get 300 bucks for my note 2. Also, the iPhone gets updates way longer and faster. Unlike my note 2.... I'm still waiting for the 4.3 update :'(
All that being said, the note 3 is a excellent phone!

Don't kid yourself, just do a quick craigslist search and you will see that they are between $250-$300. People are finally realizing how stupid it is to pay crazy money for an iPhone!

Re: Anyone switching back to Iphone?

I just don't agree with this at all. The iPhone 4 and 4s, sure. Those are small. But the iPhone 5 and 5s are a nice size. Granted, I just switched to the Moto X and it has a bigger screen. Only .7 inches more and I'm enjoying it. I couldn't see myself owning a phone that had a screen bigger than 5. And 5 inches is pushing it for me.

5 is .5" bigger than 4. Went from a 3.5" screen to a 4" screen. That is a full 1.7" smaller than the Note 3. Not sure how you can say that is not a huge difference. Sure, you think 5.7 is too big. Thats you. That does not make the 1.7" any less substantially bigger just because you do not find the size appealing.

Never said that it wasn't a big difference. Nor did I even talk about the Note 3. I was simply stating that I wouldn't like a 6 inch phone. I understand that people have different tastes in sizes for their phones, I was stating my opinion.

If you can point me to a iPhone 5 for 300 bucks I will buy it right now. And I don't mean one with a cracked screen or a bad ESN. The 5th generation IPod touch starts at around 300 bucks... Sounds like you're the one kidding yourself.

Re: Anyone switching back to Iphone?

After playing around with the moto x and the moto G, I would be OK with a 4.5" - 4.7" screen on an apple device. I think they should definitely offer different sizes so that the people who prefer a smaller screen can have one.

Re: Anyone switching back to Iphone?

Purchasing phones on CL is super risky.

My mother recently purchased an iPhone 5S from a guy for pretty cheap. After a week her phone got "no service". So she called up to her carrier only to find that it was blacklisted shortly after her purchase as stolen.

Between this risk and dealing with unknown people... I'd say for phones, you are taking a huge risk!

Re: Anyone switching back to Iphone?

This is the question I have. I have the iPhone 5, had the note 3. personal Dailey driver is the moto x. And have never desired the apple app store for anything. We are at a point that Google and apple are both equal as far as app stores go. For me Google play is a nicer experience and is much smoother while browsing. On a side note the days of apple having the smooth experience is over I feel. I have way less hiccups out of my moto x, it just works better hands down. This is just my personal experience. The only thing I grab the iPhone for is the camera

Re: Anyone switching back to Iphone?

No pictures means it's a crappy looking phone and the one with the picture clearly stated that it's scratched up.

Lol of course. You ask me to show an iPhone 5 for $300 and I show you 3, but you still have excuses. The one with the picture says normal wear and tear. You do realize brand new iPhones were coming scratched right out of the box???

I've purchased a bunch of phones on Craigslist and have never had a problem. While there is always a chance you could get screwed, most transactions will generally be good!

I totally agree... I purchased an iPhone 5 on Craig's list before... And trying to save 150 bucks I got burned with a phone that was a replaced phone and had hardware issues and I wasn't able service it thru apple. But...... Since it was an iPhone I was able to sell it on eBay for parts so I only lost 100 bucks.... That was an Expensive lesson! Never again!

Re: Anyone switching back to Iphone?

Had the iPhone 5, now on the note 3, it would be very hard for me to go back. Maybe it's just me but I don't use my phone to do simple tasks and I've been learning more and more things about Android and it's customization which I love. Sure there are some gimmicks but hey, if you don't like them turn them off. My only concern is that Google play isn't as strong as iTunes or the apple store but hopefully it will catch up. I'm loving this phone
