AOD Notification icons - dynamic display?

I have my S8 setup to show notification icons on the AOD for a number of apps including Ampere, SignalcheckPro, and 1Weather. My problem is the notification icons show only the static values that were effective when the AOD was activated - they don't show the dynamically changing real-time values similar to what is displayed in the notification bar on an active screen. Is there any way to have the notification icons on the AOD show dynamic values vice the initial static ones?

any time there is an update to the notification, the AOD should reflect the change within a certain time frame as it refreshes. I have a persistent weather notification which updates almost immediately. I've watched when I hear a new email alert and within seconds the AOD adds that notification. Likewise, when I dismiss the notifications with my Gear S2, the notification on AOD disappears almost immediately.

The refresh rate on the S7 was much slower, but with the latest version on the S8, it updates fairly quick.
