ApeX 1.3.0

And let me say...WOW! This ROM is absolutely mind blowing. I am flying around pages like they are nothing. Extremely fast ROM, and im loving having a black status bar. Download the goodies pack it is worth it! Extremely pleased with this ROM. Great work, Fab...

First rom I've put on my phone and I love it!

Same here.

I'd previously used Fab's Revolution theme and liked that a lot, but after updating to 2.2.1 i figured 'What the hell?' and decided to try a ROM for the first time. Color me very, very impressed. I added an updated Revolution theme on top of ApeX, and now my phone is nothing short of spectacular. Great, great work. :D

I just did a little time on RubiX and couldn't get it re-installed after 2.2.340 OTA update. I thought I'd come back to ApeX...

Wow.

Fab has really leveled up with this - It flies, no random reboots, nice battery, LOVE the transitions and tethering. GREAT JOB. I cannot believe how fast it runs.

I got my Unstable Apps Overclocker running stable again (with quadrent scores back up over 1700). If anyone is having trouble with this after installing ApeX 1.3, I think that it's all related to some of the system and kernal files. You've got to be running the right ones. You can get the latest and greatest from here:

TBH Patches: 2.3.340-System, Baseband, 2.3.340-Kernel, Bootloader

So if I have Apex running and I wanted to use UA overclocker, and I need to install this bootloader, will it affect anything that I've already done or is it just a patch?

Ditto! Question though, I did the goodies pack which only seemed to give a % in batt indicator, and the compressed widget selector. How do I utilize the rest? And what IS the rest? I saw what Fab posted but am a newb for sure with roots capabilities and terminal scripting. I am a tech geek, but still in the Android kiddy pool.

I downloaded it too, haven't installed it yet,i use LP and read about it coming with the other launcher, sooooo I read I could still use Lp launcher but this doesn't cause any conflicts I guess?

Ha as you can tell I haven't changed Roms ever before but I have read all the instructions as to how.

After installing ApeX, I just used HomeSwitcher to switch back to LauncherPro. I love that launcher. It runs great and error free on this new ROM.

I can't tell you if any one of these files is the one that fixes the issue with OC. I just went ahead and installed all of them (except for the Bootloader one, because I'm already on 30.04). I installed these right over my currently running ApeX 1.3. I did them one at a time, starting with the kernel, and installed each as instructed, including the data wipe before installing the last one (.340 system updater). I did this because after installing a number of ROMs in the past and having started with the original leak of Froyo, I wanted to get everything on my phone up to date. Both my kernel and my baseband were older versions. It all installed smoothly and now everything runs perfectly.

Just installed apex 1.3 and the only problem im having is my gmail app keeps facing. Any ideas to get it running I also have the nextheme which has never given me a problem before.

It's just a patch...3 of them to be exact.

Thats all it does...compresses your widget selector, worth the download!

Terminal scripting has always been there since the early Apex versions...

Another quick question since on to make sure of.

Ok I just made a fresh clockwork recover of my phone and named it,"before rom"
Made a Tit.Backup with just apks no data
I have the New rom in root of sd

Now after I wipe cache ,data and locate the rom to install and it completes ,I think I will have to run TBPro to get my apps back? So its not like a brand new phone again with a new rom.I didnt bookmark info about that part and cant find it now ha

Any idea as to what would cause mine to stop working?

I'm not sure I understand your post (I'm not all that bright)...are you suggesting that sbf'ing my phone and then reinstalling ApeX should fix the overclocking issue? That seems like a pretty good bit of work.

Just goto Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Overclock and clear data and all should work again when you reconfigure.

You might want to choose a name without spaces because Clockwork Recovery will not restore and read Mismatch error if the name has any spaces in name, just thought I would point this out before you run into this when you try to restore. I spent a few weeks figuring this out before I figured out the problem. Also I use MyBackup with root features engaged and I can restore apps, messages and bookmarks in no time.

Yea no spaces on backup name. Don't worry just rename with _ or a . As a space. Also when I loaded the ota the market dl all my apps for me.
