APKs not working

I'm brand new to amdroid and I just bout the htc one.

I've learnt online how to install apk files not from the market

Whenever I do tho, it either brings up some StartApp MSG with ads asking me to fillin surveys which I'm assuming are the fake APKs, or, it installs but when I try to start the app, it opens them closes immediately. Help required badly!

Sounds like you need a better source for APKs

Yes there is a reason why we have a Google Play Store, Amazon, Get Jar and Slide Me because they are the top supported/safe sites to get your Android Apps. They support the developers and help protect the consumer.

Aside from that sideloading APKs is a good way to get a virus/malware and other unknowns that could be put in there to harm your new device or your privacy
