I started to get 'Package File Invalaid' Error when installing a App first w/ market then tryed to sideload and got the same error. i'v searched this forum and XDA, i guess i'm not the first to get the error. solutoins i've seen are trying different version market, and clearing both cache and dalvik in recovery...both didn't work.. i also noticed in titanium backup, 'interate update into ROM' function is no longer doing anything despite saying intergration complete, it still says '(update)' next to app. I use link2sd to help free Dalvik room, i've increased cache VM heap to 32M(which i know will play into issue), and use titanium backup to move individual apps's data to ext... freed up plenty of room with all this, with 100+ apps going. I don't like the idea of moving everything to sd with data2sd mod, profer to do w/ individual apps only....

the solution and cause of error I found:

the problem was the ENTIRE /cache directory, no just /davik
using link2sd for dalvik freed up ALOT of room by just linking apps with large dalvik files that aren't vital apps like games... but i still only had 124MB for space for the cache with all the moving around, which with the app 'freespace' (SO NICE and quick check to look at room avail in different places) i could see was full..

my temp fix..
in link2sd, sorted apps by cache size and linked larger apps to sd ext.. now error goneand everything working again

Question: is there a way to increase the size of the /cache without moving to sd?? have plenty space, want to allocate to /cache..
