Apple is at it again. WTF

Wow, really? No offense, but you are an idiot.

It looks like you're here only to troll, but I'll make an attempt to have an actual discussion, if you're up to it.

...Has anyone ever considered that maybe the reason Apple is dragging all these companies to court is because maybe they are guilty?
Hell, the entire Android system can be attributed to Apple, ironically enough. Don't know what I'm talking about? Do a little research on how Android got started.
...

First off, whether they are guilty or not is for the courts to decide; before that, they are NOT guitly by definition, even if they've gone against the law.
Second, it's overly simplistic to talk about guilt when the only driving force behind the lawsuits is money. It's not a moral but entirely business issue.
Now, if you understnd the point above, you are ready to consider that the current laws are NOT designed to promote business optimally. By protecting simple to develop, yet difficult to circumvent ideas, they are stalling development. Try designing another way to fit points equidistantly from a center by not using a circle -- you can't, and some of the patents Apple is currently using to fight HTC/Samsung are almost equally simple. Those patents should have never been granted.

If you do actually do some research on Android you'll find out that it was an old idea of Google which did, during its development, adopt very few non-essetial features from iPhone, but certainly NOT via Schmidt or Page, unless you think Apple are idoits who let themselves get scerwed from behind...

Not saying Samsung might not be guilty, but didn't apple get its pull down notification bar from Android?

But android is open source so there's nothing wrong with that. But I do have a problem with someone copy writing a bit of code that they copied from open source.

Not true, if they take open source they need to adhere to the license, which includes releasing to open source, I believe...

I believe he called that guy an idiot for the "hope Steve Jobs is rotting in hell" comment.

Which he's an idiot for making.

As far as this whole issue goes, yeah the patent wars are getting tiresome. Never owned an iphone, and I am Android for life, but think about it for a minute. Apple revolutionized the cellphone industry with the iphone, and everyone else has been struggling to catch up ever since. Has anyone ever considered that maybe the reason Apple is dragging all these companies to court is because maybe they are guilty?

The real issue is insane patent law, where you can get a patent for running wire down your sleves. This stiffles inovation and advancement. It also kills competition.

Yeah its getting pretty ridiculous. Someone needs to stand up to Apple once and for all. The GSIII proves to be very solid competition and they are so threatened by that.

GROW UP!!! Hope Steve Jobs is rotting in hell.

GS3 isn't even competition because there is no competition between the two phones, the GS3 just wins in general in every category. And I believe its Tim Cook, not Steve Jobs who is doing this, i don't remember this many suits when Jobs was healthy and in charge.

How does that make me an idiot??? Lousy choice of words, maybe. But knowing that Steve Jobs vowed to personally destroy Android and spend every cent of Apple's billions of dollars doesn't sit well with me. Its frustrating knowing there is a small possibility that my new GSIII might not make it into my hands because this ridiculous company is threatened that it might steal some of its thunder!!!

Steve Jobs was NOT A GOOD MAN!! PERIOD!!! Go read up on him. It makes me sick when people think he was some sort of GOD because of what he did. He changed the world and did things no other company did, blah blah blah!!!

So sick of hearing that!!! I truly believe if the man wasn't so short tempered Apple wouldn't be suing like they are today.

I've been thinking about this a bit this week. It would suck if apple pulls this off. It would cause a bigger rift then the EVO or ONE X because HTC had already implemented a change to the software of those phones. All that needed to happen was a few of them needed to be opened randomly and check to see if the new software was conforming to the stipulations set in court....which I believe it was...so, they pushed through and now they are here.

In Samsung's case ...the S3 has not implemented a software change...which means all those phones would need to go back and be reprogrammed....and i'm guessing...there's a bunch of them. So this would be a huge cost to Samsung and all the carriers effected.

I am one of those that does believe Apple is a patent troll. I believe they have someone in the patent office in their pocket...as well as someone in the court systems as well. Money buys stuff. With that said....people find a way. All of this back and forth with apple will only ignite a fire under Samsung to actually innovate even more and do better. In the end I do believe that the better company will thrive. Im looking forward to the products that come out of this. I have an S3 on pre-order...its gonna suck if it gets postponed...but I'll get it eventually.

This is so very true. I have read his book and I'm wondering how people tolerated him --very successful but what happened to attitude is everything. He had great ideas but I think if I had known this about him, it would have been difficult to support Apple products. He was a terrible man and treated everyone like crap. Including his daughter.

Can't say I agreed with his tactics or the way he treated people, but hate him or not he knew how to run a profitable business.

So has anyone been able to locate any articles about today's court hearing in the Apple vs Samsung case?

Calling someone an idiot gained you what? He probably said what many are thinking anyway.

All these lawsuits may be about money yet at the end of the day, it's the customers that are hurting....not big business.

Dear Sprint, go ahead and send out the free cases like you did for the HTC EVO 4G LTE.
