Apple Watch...thoughts?

Well somebody has to bring it up, so I guess I will. Personally, I think they have something quite interesting on their hands. The UI definitely seems more polished and definitely seems to be more featured packed than Android Wear right now. I think the Moto 360 is still the best looking wearable though. Hopefully, Google will get the Android Wear game rolling a bit more as the Fall/Winter approaches. Anyway, what about you?

I like the UI, but I think they dropped the ball on the design (rare for Apple to do it this poorly) and the pricing. $349 for a device that has limited functionality without the phone with you at all times is ridiculous.

It is shockingly ugly. I'm honestly shocked that Apple would release something so unattractive.

I blame Tim Cook.

I don't know what it does but that thing is ugly! They should have scrapped it the moment the round moto 360 surfaced.

If I had any apple stock, I'd sell now!

And no, unlike many here, I'm not an apple hater. I like my iPad.

EPIC FAIL!

If anyone can jump-start the smart watch market, it's Apple. Ugly or not, it will get people wearing them.

Personally, I hadn't had one thought about it until I saw this thread...

I had to do a search to find an image of the watch. Apple - Apple Watch - Design

LMAO at those rushing to proclaim it ugly. It looks like many another smart watch product which is out or announced.

In the end, I really don't care.

Thanks for the chuckle though.

The Gear and G Watch are also pretty ugly. The only one that really stands out in terms of design is the Moto 360, IMO. Looks like an actual watch

Kind of a let down to see something so ordinarily looking coming out of Apple. I still like the look of gear fit the most (despite lack of functions). I won't be buying any of them for now.

Like android wear, I really don't get the point of Apple Watch. You're spending $200, $300+ on a Notification Wrist Band.

Need to touch it before I form my opinion about it. Maybe it is a device to consider in the future, maybe not. Wow, now that I think about it I haven't been wearing a watch for about 15 years now.

I don't understand this smartwatch fashion at all. Aside from this, Apple Watch is ok, if you don't mind the price.

Am I like the only one who doesn't like the Moto 360?

Wow really must kill a lot of phandroids that it takes apple to legitimize a market. Samsung will be using the digital crown in 3...2...1...

I have the same opinion I do of all smart watches; meh. I don't care to wear a watch so I'm not interested in any of them. Of all of them though I think the Moto 360 and Apple Watch will be the two that gain the most traction. Although I'm still not sure how much traction any of these wearables will get. I'm perfectly satisfied with my pocket computer. A face computer and a wrist computer are not solving any problems, they are just more toys.

Apple Watch...thoughts?

Yeah. This.

The iWatch is hideous. Which is a good thing for us I guess. Bonus: You need an iPhone to use it. Moto has done the impossible...they have completely spanked Apple on design. Before now the closest anyone had come to that was the HTC One.

In comparison to Apple's crime-against-design, the Moto 360 is absolutely beautiful.

You might be, yeah. I don't know that I have ever seen someone online that hates it...at best they are simply indifferent.

Every unofficial poll I have seen so far, all of them, show the 360 far in the lead among people who care about smartwatches.
