This has probes been covered hundreds of times. Is it possible to copy apps and games onto the sd card for the tab 3?

Looking to get my son a tablet for Xmas and I'm torn between this and the Nexus.

He will mostly be playing games on it and watching movies so would have a sd card as well. Just worried in case games can't be moved to sd card as he will run out of storage very quickly if it can't.

Cheers

The OS itself doesn't support SD cards. Samsung forces that on. That being said, he might be able to move some apps (depending if the app developer supports that as well), and even if so, only some of the data could be moved, not all of it.

Would you know how to move the few apps to the SD card, or know of some options to do so? I have the Tab 3 7.0".

Settings>Application Manager>swipe over to All Apps>scroll to the app you want to move over. Click on it and the option to move to SD card should be there.
Be Advised: depending on the app developer, it is possible that 0 data can be moved.

Thanks, but none of my apps show that option, it's probably because I'm using one of the few devices that have it locked down. Not sure what the SD card is good for other than storing some music and videos now..

If you have a lot of music, it isn't such a bad thing; it keeps the internal storage open for apps and related files. The lack of SD cards actually improves the stability of the OS.
