AC Question

So I just received a promotional gift of £50 Google Play Credit for buying my Nexus 6P a while back. Struggling to see any apps worth using the money on in the Store but may just be blinkered after years of using free versions.

Any advice on where to spend this credit? Movies/books are a no go as I Netflix everything anyway.

Cheers in advance for any advice.

Pocket Casts, Manual Camera (if supported), and Fenix for Twitter are go to apps for me. MC not so much on my Note 5, but on any other phone w/o manual controls that supports it, it is a must-have. In the past, I would've recommended SwiftKey - it makes your typing experience that much better, but now it's free.

Launcher X? You do realize that they have blatantly plagiarized the hard work of other Launcher developers, right?

No I did not. Saw it on XDA, decided to give it a try. Liked the features and bought it. If I had known they were ripping off other Devs beforehand. I would have steered clear of it.

So if that is true, someone needs to get it taken off Play Store.

I use
Threema for communication with end-to-end security
Navigon for travelling and offline maps in Europe
Blueduino a text expander, since lollipop it supports usage next to another softkeyboard

When reading this thread I just realize I could buy some more interesting apps

Nova Launcher PRIME - Best Launcher
Carton Icon Pack - Cool Icon Pack in my opinion
Zooper Widget PRO - for awesome widget
Super Beam PRO - Easy Sending file
SafeinCloud - Password Manager
File Commander PREMIUM - File Manager , Great in-app Design and Awesome features inside
Fliktu - Upgrade your Android sharing system for much useful
Flip - Currency
Weather Timeline - Awesome Design
Ready - Call Manager

My most used purchases currently are:
AutoVoice (AutoApps) ( A tasker plugin)
Tasker (for me a must have app)
Yatse Unlocker (Yatse, the kodi / XBMC Remote) (basicly a app that lets me controll my media server)
Digical+ Calendar
Today Calendar (like this calendar app more then Digical+ though)
Poweramp Full Version (must have if you still safe music locally)
MX player Pro (must have video player)
Tweetings for Twitter (if you tweet a lot the stock twitter app just lacks features)
IRC for Android (If you still do IRC chat like me :P)
Nove Launcher Prime (my to go launcher sorry Samsung touchwiz is just bloat in my opinion)
Solid Explorer Unlocker (my to go file explorer however ES File Explorer is pretty neat as well)

Nox, iNex (icon packs)
SD Maid (for maintenance of the internal of the device)

I actually got Nova Prime when it was 10p around Xmas...

Likewise. It's worth paying full price for. It's fast stable, offers plenty of customisation, and together with TeslaUnread it will display a notification for any apps you choose.

The other apps I've paid for are either niche, or games (Terraria, Minecraft...) But if I had a voucher, I'd probably splash out on some of the fitness apps.

I tend to buy the paid versions of most apps. I don't like in app advertising (I also read they can be a security risk). I've bought Nova Launcher Prime, aCalendar (still the best calendar app out there), Gel icon pack, Helium (back up app), SVOX Victoria voice pack (I like my phone sounding like a British Bond Girl), Textra, SwiftKey and Zooper Widget.

Most of those apps are very useful, widely used and praised and look nice as well.

Apps :
A Better Camera - Handy Photo - Sleep as Android - Nova (or Apex or Action or Smart) Launcher - Minima LWP pro - Yowindow weather - ES File Explorer (or Solid explorer or Fx file explorer +) - Easy Copy + - Wifi File Explorer pro - Today Calendar -

Most of my purchases are for Android Wear watch faces and live wallpapers. But...

Pocket Casts for podcast.
7 Minute Workout Challenge is good as well.

Also, consider getting off the Netflix Teet. It's not everything, not even close. It nice to augment Hulu and buying or renting movies. But if it works for you then... Just consider buying movies, especially when they are on sale. They will always be there.

You can use MobiMail for your A company email. It uses OWA.
