Apps worth paying for?

AC Question

So I just received a promotional gift of £50 Google Play Credit for buying my Nexus 6P a while back. Struggling to see any apps worth using the money on in the Store but may just be blinkered after years of using free versions.

Any advice on where to spend this credit? Movies/books are a no go as I Netflix everything anyway.

Cheers in advance for any advice.

Interesting, I also paid for Nine and the company I work for also makes us use AirWatch now. Does the company you work for start with an "A"?

I've just recently returned to Android and the apps I've purchased so far are
Solid Explorer
VMG Converter
CPUID

SMS Backup and Restore is next on the list

It's a personal preference, but i would recommend :
-Nova launcher prime
-Fenix (twitter client)
-Solid explorer
-Ready (a third party dialer)
-Facets (an awesome collection of pics & can be used as a wallpaper as well)
-DarkMatter icon pack (if you're a theming guy)

+1 for Nova Prime

Also, a good password manager. I like mSecure, but there's another one that people here mention a lot - Last Pass, I think.

mSecure is the best IMO.

Some nice picks in this list so far.

For me:

Solid Explorer (I've also paid for and used FX Explorer for a while - it's good but not as good as Solid)
MacroDroid (a Tasker alternative with a much friendlier UI and very close to as powerful)
Smart Launcher Pro 3 (I also own Nova Prime, Apex and Action Launcher 3)
FolderSync (my first app purchase ever - abandoned it after a short period and came back to it two months ago to find a polished fault free app)

MacroDroid is awesome!

Nexus 5X is the business!

Last updated 11th June 2015.

I'm reading it was updated Jan 8, 2016. But you might want to wait and see if there are others. I have used it for years. I love how you can adjust the brightness and sound by running your finger up or down the sides of screen.

Thanks Mate. It was my mistake. Saw some other app. Lots of open tabs. :(

I switched to VLC but there are lots of videos which dont run in VLC.

Try the free MX Player. See how you like it.

But in terms of this thread... I definitely think MX Player Pro is worth it.

Es file explorer, zero bloat and easier interface. I tried solid but it always argued when sending files to cloud accounts.
Gentle alarm
Mantano reader
HD widgets, but they need to do an update
Doggcatcher, my daily podcaster
LocalCast
Textra
Ez pdf reader
Nova or apex launcher
MX player pro
Isyncr
Rocket player
Titanium Backup
Trigger
Greenify

To those recommending ES File...are you aware that it has serious security problems? That if granted internet access ES is sending your info to Chinese servers?

Also, have you noticed it getting a little buggy lately?

I've managed to get by with only a few app purchases over the years I've had Android phones. These are worthwhile in my view:

Tasker
Note Everything Pro
NeoCal Advanced Calculator
SoundHound Infinity (symbol looks like sideways numeral eight)
TripIt (if you travel often)
Auto Words With Friends Cheats (the one by epEK.ware)
